November Essentials By Ellen Release!

Hi there! Welcome to the November Essentials by Ellen release blog hop! I'm excited to be showcasing the newest stamp set in the Leading Ladies Line by Brandi Kincaid, Photo Lady and Coordinating dies!

If a photograph tells a thousand stories, the Photo Lady has so much to share! For all of the shutterbugs in our lives, the Photo Lady is ready with her camera at hand or around her neck, and from instant to digital, she's always looking for the best shot. With lots of cameras to choose from, and a bag for all of her accessories, she's ready to go where the stories are happening!

For my card, I used Bristol Board for my background and I blended some Festive Berries Distress ink along the top part. I then used a piece of painter's tape for a mask to blend some Broken China Distress ink along the bottom, to create a base for my little photo lady here. I speckled the top part with some Festive Berries ink mixed with water and some white ink.

After my panel was good and dry, I stamped the sentiment with some black ink. I cut the panel down to 4 x 5 1/4 and adhered this to a top folded A2 size card. The images were all colored with Copic markers and adhered with foam tape.

To check out all of the beautiful inspiration today you can start at the Ellen Hutson blog!

Next in line on the hop is Jill Dewey Hawkins!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Essentials by Ellen + Lawn Fawn United We Flourish- Love Ya Bunches

Hello! I am thrilled to be joining Ellen Hutson and Lawn Fawn to promote their adorable collaborative set Love Ya Bunches!

Last November Ellen Hutson began celebrating their 10th anniversary with their United We Flourish theme. Here's a little bit more about this special collaboration:

Last November we began celebrating our 10th anniversary with our United We Flourish theme. We would not be here without the amazing companies we work with, the designers who create stunning projects showcasing the amazing products being created AND you our fabulous customers! YOU are such a vital part of our creative community - you inspire & encourage us! Your response to United We Flourish was overwhelming and heart-warming. We heard repeatedly from you that you appreciate how our little company works together with the other manufacturers we carry to bring you their products and education showing how to use those products. To thank you for your constant support and encouragement, we have something incredibly special we began working on shortly after that anniversary.

We have partnered with some of our friends to offer exclusive limited edition stamp & die sets!!! These sets will be available for a limited time (most likely 3-6 months) after each release, depending on how quickly you snap them up. The theme of these stamp sets are uplifting and fun.

We are thrilled to present the first one to you... Love Ya’ Bunches by Lawn Fawn exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC. United We Flourish, because we’re better together!

So here is a look at the two cards I made with this fun new stamp set!

I did the background of my card with Peerless watercolors on watercolor paper.

I colored all of the cute monkeys and different images with Copic markers. The flowers and butterfly are from the Lawn Fawn set Critters in the Burbs.

I adhered all of the stamped images with foam tape and stamped the sentiment with black ink.

My second card was done almost exactly like the first one, except that I blended Distress ink onto my watercolor panel instead of using the Peerless watercolors. I splattered it with water as well.

The cute little monkeys and other fun elements were colored with Copic Markers, cut out with the coordinating dies and adhered with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped with black ink.

12 Days Of Christmas with a Feminine Twist

Hello! I am super excited to be participating in the 12 Days of Christmas Tags with a Feminine Twist  again this year! Each day one of their talented designers and a guest designer will be showing off their tags created from a different theme. Today  I am the guest designer for the very talented Julia Stainton! I have created a tag with products from  My Favorite Things using a glitter  theme!

You can see all of the beautiful tags in the Ellen Hutson Classroom!!

I hope you can see my glitter. I promise I used glitter on this! To create my tag, I used a scalloped circle die and glued a round tag on the back so there would be a hanger at the top. I then used the pierced circle dies to cut out the patterned paper for the background. I colored the cute little elf with Copic markers and I glittered up his hat and the white on the stocking with Crystal Stickles from Ranger.

I stamped the pine from Lawn Fawn, cut it out and tucked some behind the little elf, along with a couple of snowflakes from MFT. The sentiment is heat embossed with white on black card stock. I also added glitter to the pine and the snowflakes! It's Christmas time! You can't have too much glitter! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Essentials By Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

Hello! I'm excited to be guesting for the Essentials By Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Pinterest Inspired photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog. A random challenge participant will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store.  To be eligible, you MUST use Essentials by Ellen products and the photo badge as inspiration. There will be an inlinkz on the challenge post where you can submit your projects.

Here is the beautiful inspiration piece for this month!

And here is what I did with it!

I used the beautiful Wild Garden Designer dies and 12 Days Companion Greetings for my card. I took some watercolor paper and blended Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, and Cracked Pistachio on it, let that dry well, then cut the flowers and leaves out. I blended some of those same colors onto my white card stock  and trimmed about 3/4 of an inch off the bottom before adhering the flowers and leaves. I layered a piece of gray chevron patterned paper along the bottom of my card before adhering the panel with foam tape.

I added some Marshmallow PPP sequins to the centers of the flowers and stamped the sentiment above with black ink.

Ellen Hutson - My Favorite Things Mix It Up Challenge

Hello!

I'm excited to be joining the Essentials by Ellen Mix it Up Challenge this month creating a card that features products from two of my favorite companies, My Favorite Things and Essentials by Ellen!

My card is up on the My Favorite Things blog as well as The Ellen Hutson Classroom, but I'm allowed to share it with you here on my blog too! Yay! :)

I started by watercoloring a background with my favorite watercolors, Peerless. I tired to use colors for the background that I knew would match the colors of the flowers and leaves I was planning on using. I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Bohemian Garden stamp set with MFT dye inks then took a watercolor brush and went around the edges with water to blend the colors for a bit of a watercolor look. I cut them all out with the matching dies and adhered them with foam tape.

I used the Label Maker sentiments and the Stars & Wishes Die-namics to create the sentiment, then added a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins to finish it up!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Check out the Ellen Hutson Classroom to play along with this challenge! All of the products I used are listed and linked below!
