Newton's Nook: Snow Globe Scenes

Hi there! I am back again with some more fun projects I made with Newton's Nook Designs products! I had so much fun guesting with them last week, that I asked Jen if I could please do one more guest spot :)

I love love snow globes, and have many stamp sets and dies for them, but I just couldn't pass up these! I used the Snow Globe Scenes Stamp set and the Snow Globe Shaker dies.

For my background I used Fired Brick Distress Ink on Smooth Bristol board and then sprinkled it with water. The images were all colored with Copic markers, and the Snow globe cut from color card stock.

I glued down the elements in the snow globe and then layered the outside piece on top. The Merry Sentiment, which comes with the Snow Globe Shaker dies, was cut three times and layered.

My second card was created exactly as the first, except that I used Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks for the background, and created a little different scene inside.

There are so many cute elements in this stamp set, that you could create many different kinds of winter and Christmas scenes!

All of the supplies I used are listed and linked below in the supply list.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)

Hello! I am really excited to be a part of the Deck The Halls With Inky Paws Blog hop with Newton's Nook Designs! Being a huge animal lover their cute stamps really speak to me. Be sure to to read on to the bottom of my post to find out about a fun promotion they have going on right now, and how you can win a $20 gift certificate to Newton's Nook Designs!

For my card today I used a really cute stamp set called Fox Hollow, and I also used the new Snowfall Stencil, which I love! For my background, I blended Picked Raspberry and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks onto some smooth Bristol Board. I then sprinkled with water. When that was all dry, I used the Snowfall Stencil and embossing paste.

I cut a white snowy hill out and stamped the sentiment in the lower left. The foxes and trees were colored with Copic markers and cut out with the coordinating dies. I added those with foam tape.

Newton's Nook: Deck The Halls With Inky Paws

Hello! I am so excited to be the featured guest at Newton's Nook Designs today for their Deck The Halls With Inky Paws Holiday celebration!

For my card today I am using and adorable stamp set called All Aboard For Christmas, which was part of their October release. This is such a cute stamp se,t and also comes with a dog and a cat to add to the train. I really had a hard time deciding which animals to use since I couldn't fit all four on a card. I finally decided to go with the reindeer and the cute fox.

For my background, I used Broken China and Peacock Feathers Distress ink on Bristol Board. I speckled with water, and then with some white ink. All of the images were colored with Copic markers, and I added some details with white acrylic paint. I added a snowy hill in the background, and then a strip of black and white striped pattern paper for my train track, then adhered the train and cars with foam tape.

The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder on black card stock, and cut out with a banner die, then adhered with foam tape. I just love how this turned out!

Be sure to check out the Newton's Nook Blog this week for lots of fun holiday inspiration, and I'll be back on Friday with another fun project for the Blog hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
