Purple Onion Designs Holiday Sale!
Hi friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We were with the in-laws yesterday, and I am in the midst of preparing another Thanksgiving here at my house for my side of the family. Lots of eating going on!
I just wanted to pop in and let you know that Purple Onion Designs is having a Holiday Sale, 25% off of all their stamps!
I have a couple of cards to share with you that I created with their newest November release!
For all of my cards today, I stamped the background images in waterproof black ink and watercolored them with Peerless watercolors. The other images, I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I fussy cut them all out and added them with foam tape.
I added snow to these by splattering white ink with a paint brush.
I just love these cute images! They make the sweetest winter scenes!
Okay I have got to run back and check on my pumpkin pies! Sorry for the short post! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and weekend!
Kay :)
You can find all of the stamps I used on these cards HERE.

Purple Onion Designs: Season's Greetings
Hello! I am back again to share another card I made with some stamps from the new Purple Onion Designs November Christmas Release! These adorable stamps are designed by the artist Stacey Yacula and they are the sweetest!
The collection consists of 22 winter/holiday themed stamps and they are designed to coordinate with prior stamp collections.
So for my card I stamped the background stamp ( Home Sweet Home ) across the panel with waterproof black ink. I then watercolored everything with Peerless watercolors. I stamped the truck ( Old Betsy) and the small tree with Tuxedo Black ink and colored those with Copic Markers.
I created a road for my little truck by glueing a strip of black card stock along the bottom of my card. I fussy cut the truck and small tree out. I glued the small tree behind the truck to look like it was in the back, then adhered it to my card with foam tape. Next was the risky part. I speckled the whole finished card with white ink. I usually do this before I adhere everything, but I wanted the snow on the truck too. Luckily it went on evenly without any ginormous snow blobs! :D

Purple Onion Designs: New Christmas Collection!
Hello! I am excited to share with you a card I made with some stamps from the new Purple Onion Designs November Christmas Release! These adorable stamps are designed by the artist Stacey Yacula and they are the sweetest!
The collection consists of 22 winter/holiday themed stamps and they are designed to coordinate with prior stamp collections.
For my card today I used Yule ( the snowman), Double Pine Tree, Pine Tree Farm, and Essential Holiday Greeting set. Everything is linked at the bottom of my post.
I stamped the snowman and masked him using masking paper, then stamped the trees and snow line over him. I stamped all of the images with waterproof black ink onto Bristol Board. I then watercolored everything with Peerless watercolors.
After all of the watercoloring dried, I speckled the whole card with white ink to look like falling snow.

Purple Onion Designs Anniversary Sale!
I created this card using Mountains, Beach Grass, Free Spirits and Buddy. I used Bristol Board, and stamped my image with black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers, then watercolored the sky and ground with Peerless watercolors.
The little dog, I fussy cut and added with foam tape.
For this card, I used the stamps, Mountains, Luggage Set, and Street. Just like the card above, I colored everything with Copic markers, then used Peerless watercolor on the sky and the dirt road.
I cut the Luggage Set out and added it last with some foam tape. The sentiment was heat embossed with white, cut out with a banner die and adhered with foam tape too.
Here is a list of all of the stamps I used for these two cards.
Mountains
Beach Grass
Free Spirits
Buddy
Street
Luggage Set
Journey Sentiment Set

Purple Onion Designs - Waving Hello
Hello! I am back again with another card I made for the new release at Purple Onion Designs! The new designs are by artist Stacy Yacula, and the card I'm sharing today was created with the Happy Trails Collection.
This was a fun one to make! I used Canson Bristol Board for this one, and again did some masking. I stamped the water first, masked it, then stamped the cute sailboat. Everything here was colored with Copic Markers, even the sky. Took me a while :)
I did add some tiny white dots with acrylic paint, and I also made the clouds with acrylic paint too. I just kind of dabbed them on there.
All of the new stamps from Purple Onion Designs are available now in the store HERE!
You can purchase both complete collections for a limited time at a discounted price of just over 30% off! The entire "Happy Trails" collection is $120.00 and "Once Upon A Time" is $15.00. This special runs until Sunday, June 11th. You can purchase the entire Happy Trails HERE and Once Upon A Time HERE.
In addition, there are two separate coordinating sentiment sets. The "Great News Sentiment Set" works nicely with the "Once Upon A Time" collection. The "Journey Sentiment Set" can be used with the "Happy Trails" collection.

Purple Onion Designs - Happy Trails Collection
Greetings! I am excited to be guesting with Purple Onion Designs for their new release! The new designs are by artist Stacy Yacula, and the card I'm sharing today was created with the Happy Trails Collection. There are some darling images!
So I created this adorable little beach scene with several of the stamps from the Happy Trails Collection. I did some masking here. I first stamped the palm tree, masked it, stamped the sand, masked it then stamped the water. I did all of this on Canson Bristol Board because I wanted to watercolor the sky. I like the Bristol board because it works well with just about any medium. So I watercolored the sky with Peerless watercolors and colored the palm tree, water and sand with Copic markers.
I colored the little bear, mouse and their beach ball with Copic markers as well, then fussy cut them out. I adhered them with foam tape. I embossed the sentient with white embossing powder on black paper and cut it out with a banner die.

Today I have a card created with the adorable Happy Pumpkins stamp and Sweetheart the cute little owl!
This time instead of just doing a watercolored background, I chose to watercolor the whole card. I stamped the Happy Pumpkins stamp on watercolor paper with waterproof black ink, let that dry good and watercolored with my Sakura Koi watercolor set. I did the same with the little owl on a separate piece and fussy cut her out. I mounted my watercolored piece onto a white top folded card and adhered the little owl with foam tape. I added a few gold sequins for some Halloween sparkle!

I know, you're thinking it's way too early for Halloween cards?? It is not my friends! Time is speeding by at warp speed these days and it will be Halloween in a blink of an eye! It seems like it was just Christmas time, and here it is almost June already! It's crazy!
So anyway, this card features the adorable little Racoon Ginger with her great big pumpkin! So cute! I watercolored the background and colored Ginger with my Copic markers. I fussy cut her out and added a few die cut leaves below her to ground her a bit.
I added a few sequins, because I can't seem to make a card without adding sequins anymore :)
My second card features Midnight the black Halloween kitty decked out in her purple witches hat. Actually she could be any color, but I thought it was fitting she be black for Halloween :)
Again, I watercolored a background. I added the yellow and orange up in the corner to create the illusion of a full moon. I colored Midnight with Copic markers, fussy cut her out and adhered her to my card with foam tape. I added a few die cut leaves below her and the sentiment banner was adhered with foam tape too. A few sparkly sequins were added too!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Remember leave a comment on this post for a chance to win all of these adorable stamps!
New stamps will be in the Purple Onion Designs online store on May 25th!

Hello Spring!
Well, it's more like Hello Summer here!
Do you know it was 94 degrees yesterday? Now I am truly sorry for those of you who are still having snow, but personally I would trade the snow for the heat any day. I am not a lover of hotness, and I haven't had enough spring yet, for summer to come rushing in like that!
Okay enough of my heat rant! heheh :) I have a nice little springy card to share with you today. And I am really hoping that my nice "warm" spring temps return.
Now I realize that this card has an egg on it and Easter is over, but I'm still making Christmas cards too right? So what's wrong with an Easter egg after Easter?
This adorable little flowery egg is from Purple Onion Designs. I colored it with my Copic markers and cut it out. It is mounted with foam tape on the stitched mat, by Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from Purple Onion Designs also.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope you enjoy your week!

Kay :)

The Card Concept #6
Hello and happy Wednesday!
I can't believe it's been a whole week since I've posted here. I have been super busy getting my ornaments all photographed and my Etsy store ready. I'm so close.... :)
Anyway, it is time again for the wonderful Card Concept Challenge! I love seeing all the beautiful cards that everyone submits. It is so hard to pick a favorite out of all the beautiful work I see. I'm so glad that so many of you are enjoying this challenge.

So this week we have a birthday card! You know, it's funny, but I don't make a lot of birthday cards. I just make a lot of generic cards, and then when it's someone's birthday, I stamp "Happy Birthday" inside it!
Here is the cute inspiration photo for this challenge:
And here is what I did with it. I loved the salmon color, so chose it as my primary color. I wanted to use the turquoise , but couldn't work it in with the stamps I had chosen, so I just went with the salmon and green from the photo.
All of the stamps I used here are from Purple Onion Designs. I colored them all with my Copic markers and cut them out. I mounted them all with foam tape on the stitched background mat from Lil Inkers.

Purple Onion Designs
Hello all!
I hope the week has started out fabulous!
I have not been making quite as many cards as I was. This is not because I have lost interest or even because my mojo has been missing. I actually am wanting to make cards very much, but something else has taken over my creating time and I can't stop! I am going to take a few pictures as soon as I can and post them on my blog so I can show everyone :) I can't wait! They are fun!!
But for now... I do have a fun little card I made with some super cute Purple Onion Designs stamps.
For this one, I used the adorable little squirrel Peanut and the sentiment is from a group of three stamps called Sweet Offerings all from Purple Onion Designs.
The stitched circle die is from Lil Inkers and the flag die is from My Favorite Things.
So.... would you like a little sneak peek of what I've been working on non-card related? ??
Okay...
Okay, I promise to be back soon with some pictures of the whole thing! I've been having so much fun with them!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Kay :)

XXOO Valentine
Hello!
I hope everyone is having a nice week!
I don't normally do Valentines cards. It just comes too close to Christmas for me to get psyched up for it. I'm not usually over Christmas cards and stamps when all the new Valentine stuff comes out, so it kind of gets skipped over and I go right to Easter :)
Anyway, I just got some cute new stamps from Purple Onion Designs and I LOVE these subway art word stamps! They are some of my favorites! This one was so "lovish" that I had to make a Valentine card with it :)
I just love that little bee. I had to color him pink :)
I used the Love Noteblock stamp. I stamped it in light pink and red and then cut parts of the red one out to layer on top of the pink one. I stamped the cute little bee Love Bugs, colored it with Copics and cut him out. I then popped everything up with some foam tape.
So now all I have to do is decide who is the one and only person special enough to get my one and only Valentines card this year ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll see you tomorrow for a new challenge at Festive Friday!
Hugs,
Kay :)

Three more days until Christmas!! Oh my! How in the world did it get here so fast?? I think I'm ready.... maybe?
I created this whimsical stocking card with 3 Stockings stamp by Carolyn Draws and Christmas Trees Framed Doodle at Purple Onion Designs. I colored them with Copics, cut them out and popped them up with foam tape. I covered the card with patterened paper before mounting the white panel on top with foam tape also.
That's all I have for you today, gotta get busy with Christmas preparations! :)
So from Me and my number one pooch, Frito, Merry Christmas to all! :)
Love ya!!

Some Tasty Christmas Treats!
Hello!!
Well, we are in the final countdown to Christmas, " crunch time"! I finished up my Christmas shopping today. Yay! I have no more baking to do until Christmas eve. The girl and I are all snuggled in the house listening to Christmas music and planning our weekend. The boys are gone for the weekend to pick up a relative that's going to spend Christmas with us, so we have us an all girl's weekend :)
Anyway, wanted to share a card I made a few days back with some of my cute Purple Onion Designs stamps. This is one of my all time favorite cards I've ever made, I do believe. I don't know if it's the colors or the cute food! Haha!
The funny thing, or the terrible thing, however you choose to look at it, is that during all of the snow and ice we had a week or so ago, my craft room window leaked, and this card was totally ruined. It was sitting on the counter under the window, and was drenched in water. I was SO relieved that I had taken pictures of it, but so sad that I could not send it to someone. My husband kept telling me that it was fine and that I ought to go ahead and send it to someone.... seriously honey??? It was so warped I wouldn't have even been able to get it in the envelope!! Men!! haha!
So if I get a wild hair one day, I might make it again. If not, I'll just look at the picture and remember :)
I used the stamp set Holiday Sweets by Carolyn Draws at Purple Onion Designs. I colored each of the images with Copics, cut them out, and layered them on the white panel with foam tape.
Supplies:
Paper: Stampin Up, GinaK
Stamps: Holiday Sweets- Purple Onion Designs
Dies: Stitched rectangle-Lil Inkers
Other: Copic Markers
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by at such a fun but busy time of year. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!
Love and hugs,
Kay :)

Countdown To Christmas
Hello all!
I hope you are enjoying these December days! I have a lot going on right now, so my posts ( along with my crafting time) are pretty short and sweet :) Well, they're short, I'm not sure about how sweet! haha!
All of the stamps I've used here are from the new set This is December at Purple Onion Designs. The snowflake die is from Spellbinders and the stitched circle and rectangle are from Lil Inkers.
And if you like this stamp set, today is the last day of the 25% off sale at Purple Onion Designs!
I'm adding this to the CAS-ology Challenge this week, where the theme is snowflake.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!!

It's Snowy Again!
No, it's not snowing here. I wish it were. It's the little owl from Purple Onion Designs that I love so much again :)
Just had to use him one more time with some bright red and green Christmasy colors! He's colored with Copics, cut out and popped up with some foam tape.
Stamps: All from Purple Onion Designs - Snowy the owl, snowflake, swirl
Dies: Lil Inkers stitched mats

It's That Time of The Year!
Yes it is! It's Christmas time, my favorite time of the year!! And do you know what I like to make more than anything else in the world, ( other than cards)?? Ornaments! Whether they be of clay or paper, I do love to make them!
I created this little cutie pie with the adorable little penguin image Frost, from Purple Onion Designs.
I layered multiple layers of cutouts until I got something I liked, and that looked somewhat like a snowflake ornament, and then I added little Frost to the front with foam tape. I'm going to hang this little guy on my tree after I get it up today!
Stamps used from Purple Onion Designs: Frost from Stacey Yacula's Holiday release.
Dies: Spellbinders
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs,
Kay :)
