Merry Christmas and a Little Snowy Tree

Hi all! This is the final week before Christmas and probably my favorite week of the whole year! My shopping is done and the cards have been sent. I just need to wrap the presents and I have a little more baking to do, but for the most part, I get to do lots of fun Christmasy things and play. The kids and I are making gingerbread houses today!

I made so many Christmas cards, but just haven't had the time to get them posted, but I'm going to try to get a few up here before Christmas.

This is one I made with the cute Patchwork Tree die from Impressions Obsessions, and those fabulous mountains from the Tim Holtz Snow Globe Dies.

The tree is cut from the Patchwork Tree die from Impression Obsession. This die does not include the snow drifts. I made them with the stitched Slopes and Hills from Simon Says Stamp. I cut the tree out of green and white. Then I took the snow drifts dies and cut the top part off of each layer of the tree to make the snow.

The mountains are from the Tim Holtz Snow Globe dies, and the little snow white snowflakes dots are cut with the Hero Arts Circle Confetti Fancy Cuts die. I glued each one of those on separately, a labor of love :) The sentiment is from the Presents & Ornaments stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

All of the products are listed and linked below!

Thanks so much for stopping by during this busy holiday season!! Enjoy!

Winter Shadow Box Card

Happy Sunday and merry almost Christmas!
Four more days! Can you believe it? How in the world did it get here so fast. It's like we went from December 1st to the 21st with nothing in between! I have a little more wrapping to do today, and some baking to do for our Christmas eve party, but other than that, I think I'm ready :) I just love this time of year.

So in-between the Holiday rushiness, I have managed to get in my craft room a bit. I saw a super neat shadow box card by Lori Whitlock here and I thought, wouldn't it be fun to do that with dies! Oh yeah! So I fiddled and fumbled around until I came up with something I liked.

I stamped the background with a Hero Arts stamp then built the shadow box up using the stitched dies from Lawn Fawn. I cut three white panels with the largest die and cut the centers out with the smaller descending rectangles. I mounted each of those with foam tape adding the trees on the layer closest to the background, then the snowflake on the next layer up. I added the peace sentiment on the very top layer.  This was a really fun card to create and my mind is off and running with this idea! So many fun things you could do with this!

Kay :)
