Pretty Pink Posh New Release Blog Hop!

Hello Friends and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh New Release Blog hop! I was thrilled to be invited by the super sweet Paulina to join the hop showcasing all of the beautiful new releases at Pretty Pink Posh! There are three amazing new dies and new sequins in the most beautiful colors I have ever seen! They are available NOW in the store at Pretty Pink Posh! If you are following along the hop, you should have just come from Nichol Magouirk's blog!

I have created a card with each new die and several of the lovely new sequins!
This first card uses the new Storybook 1 die and Spring Sequins.

My mind was reeling with ways to use this fun die, but I finally decided to use it like a window frame. It's mounted with foam tape so that it has dimension. All of the little animals and flowers are from various different Lawn Fawn sets.

My next card features the Stitched Speech Bubbles, Lavender Moon sequins, and Clear Sparkling sequins.

The little girl is from Mama Elephant and the bunny, flower and sentiment are from various Lawn Fawn Stamp sets.

And my last card features a really neat new die called Twine and Bows! Oh the fun things you can do with this die are infinite!! The sequins I used on this card are Lavender Moon, Sparkling Clear, Sunshine Glow, and Fairytale Fuchsia!

Aren't the colors of those sequins fabulous! I want to roll around in them! haha!
I used Doodle Blooms from Altenew and the sentiment is from Mama Elephant.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have created with these beautiful new products from Pretty Pink Posh! Below is a complete list of hop participants. If you have been following along, your next stop will be Carissa Wiley

There are also prizes to be given away!! There are 2 $25 gift certificates up for grabs. Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. (Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PDT on 8/9/2015. Winners will be announced on the PPP blog)

Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop

Hello friends!

I am so excited to be participating in the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop! I do love my coffee. I have to do the decaf though, because caffeine makes me crazy :p

So here's what I did! It's pretty easy to make a winter themed coffee card, with snowflakes and candy canes and all the cold weather stuff, but I was kind of stumped at how to pull off a Spring coffee card? All I could think of for spring, were flowers and bunnies?? So I colored some flowers and a bunny and I decided to do this little bear too, and when all was said and done, I liked the little bear by my coffee cup the best :) Looks pretty springy to me!

Everything was colored with Copic markers and cut out with matching dies. I sponged a little Milled Lavender Distress ink on the background for a little coffee warmth :)

Supplies:
Cup of Wishes - Mama Elephant
Carnival Cupcakes - Mama Elephant
Carnival Toppers - Mama Elephant

So you need to play along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop! There are so many amazing sponsors!

Just by making a card and uploading it to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers site, you are entering in for a chance to win something from any of these wonderful companies!

There are also flash sponsors that will be giving away prizes during the hop!

Just so much fun!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop if you're hopping! :)

Merry Monday #144

Hi Friends!

I'm playing along at Merry Monday where the theme this week is bows!

I had this adorable new stamp set from Your Next Stamp that I hadn't used yet. It was just perfect for this challenge!

Isn't that little penguin darling with his big present? First off I stamped the houses from Penny Black onto a white card stock panel with VersaMark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I then sponged over it with Smokey Slate dye ink. Next, I cut the stitched hills and clouds out, stamped the sentiment on the hill, and added them with foam tape. I colored the penguin with Copic markers, cut him out with the matching dies and added him to the panel with foam tape. Last, I mounted the whole panel on a white card base with foam tape.

Supplies:
Stamps:
Winter Village - Penny Black
Waddles Snow Fun- Your Next Stamp
Love you Latte- Lawn Fawn
Dies:
Stitched hills- Lawn Fawn
Stitched Clouds- Mama Elephant

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful week!

A Little Sparkle and Shine

Hello friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We had a very nice one, but the kids did get sick. One on Christmas eve and one the day after Christmas. It wasn't bad enough to stop them from participating in all of our Christmas activities, just made it not quite as much fun for them.  I am the only one in the family that has managed to escape the bug and I have my fingers crossed that it stays that way :)

I got a lot of new fun stampy/crafty things for Christmas! Yay! One of the things I got was this cute snowglobe die from Cottage Cutz.  I haven't had a lot of time for crafting, but I just had to get in my room and try it out. I just love the way it turned out! I am still very much into Winter and Christmas. Still have a lot of new Christmas stamps and dies  I want to play with :)

Everything is inlaid so it's all nice and flat. I used some Peacock Feathers distress ink on the background. I cut the snow globe out of that and then again out of the white. I inlaid the white back into the distressed piece that I had cut the first one out of. I then added the background from the distress inked piece back into it and cut out the holly and berries out of green and red and added them into the design too. This is a tedious process, but this card really didn't take me long at all. I was surprised how quickly it all came together. I stamped and embossed the greeting with white embossing powder. I also added a little bit of color to my snowman with Copic markers.

Supplies:
Snowglobe- Cottage Cutz
Sentiment  - Winter Wonderland- Mama Elephant
Peacock Feathers Distress Ink
Stitched Rectangle die- Lawn Fawn

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)

25 Days of Tags Guest Designer

I am so thrilled and very honored to have been invited by the fabulous Tracey McNeely to be a guest this year for her 25 days of tags celebration. I have watched and been inspired by this in previous years, and am just tickled to pieces to be an actual participant this year! Tracey is one of the first bloggers I met when I first started blogging with my card making, and most definitely one of the sweetest :)

Here is my tag I made

I used Mama Elephant's lovely Winter Wonderland stamp set and the cute tag shape is from Taylored Expressions. I first sponged some distress ink on the blue tag and stamped the sentiment and the stars. I then cut out the snow from Mama Elephant's stitched cloud, then I stamped the deer and antlers and adhered them with foam tape. I then adhered all of that to the larger white tag shape, and added the holes and the silver thread.

Supplies:
Dies: Tag- Label Stacklets 3-Taylored Expressions, Snow-Landscape Trio Creative Cuts-Mama Elephant
Stamps: Winter Wonderland- Mama Elephant
Paper: Taylored Expressions

It's time to share the next Cutting Edge Challenge!  We have another inspiration project, this one done by Amy! Isn't it fabulous?!

Now I am seriously in Christmas mode right now, but I did switch over to do a card very similar to Amy's because it was just so darn cute!!

I first die cut my card with the stitched die, then cut out a smaller stitched panel in white. I die cut the clouds out, and then layered the white panel over a piece of striped patterned paper. The airplane is colored with Copics, and it, and the sunshine, are mounted with foam tape.

Happy World Cardmaking Day, Virginia's View #8, Mama Elephant and Sneak Peek!

Happy World card making day everyone! And what a great one it is! It's chilly here, the trees are turning colors and I'm going to spend the whole day in my craft room celebrating and creating! I just don't think it gets much better than that ;)

I have a sweet little card I made for the challenge at Virginia's View. The challenge this time is clean and simple, which I dearly love, although my cards rarely fall into the simple category.

When I first saw this cute set from Mama Elephant, for some reason, I immediately thought of Peace on Earth with the lion and the lamb. Perhaps it's because I love Christmas so much :) I couldn't wait to put this together though.  I first cut out the stitched white panel and stamped the little sprig of greenery along the bottom. Next I stamped the sentiment and cut out the banner and added that with some foam tape. I colored the lion and lamb with Copics and cut them out with their matching dies and added them above the banner with foam tape. I then cut out the two snowflakes, one out of white card stock and one out of gold glitter card stock and mounted them with foam tape above the little lamb. I then mounted the whole white panel on the natural card base with foam tape.

  • Stamps: Greenery - Love Lives Here-Holdiays-PTI, Lion and Lamb- Carnival Cupcakes- Mama Elephant, Sentiment- Paper Smooches
  • Dies- Stitched die- Lil Inkers, Banner- My Favorite Things, White snowflake- My Favorite Things, Gold Snowflake- Spellbinders

I am entering this card in the Mama Elephant Anything goes challenge and Virginia's View Clean and Simple challenge.

And last but certainly not least, I thought I would share a picture of my little Halloween tree. After Halloween, I take the spooky ornaments off and add my Thanksgiving ones.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a very happy World Cardmaking Day!

Hugs,

Kay :)

Festive Friday #39

Hello my friends!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week!

It's time again for another challenge at Festive Friday!

Here is the inspiration photo for this time. Some greenery, and a Merry Christmas, so many ways you could have fun with this photo!

You could even stick a bunny in it! :D

And since I had already colored and cut out several versions of this darling little bunny, I just had to incorporate him into a Christmas card. I added the cute little stocking from Papersmooches and that's all he needed to be a Christmas bunny! :) I covered the entire front of my white card base with red card stock. Then I cut out a white stitched mat and stamped the wreath and sentiment. Then I added the bunny and stocking with some foam tape to pop them up a bit.

Supplies:
Stamps: Wreath- WPlus9, Bunny-Mama Elephant, Wreath and sentiment- Papersmooches.
Dies: Stitched mat- Lil Inkers

I hope you will play along with us at Festive Friday!

You can also check out the amazing talent from the other design team members at Festive Friday!

Thank so much for stopping by!

I hope you all have a safe and happy weekend!

Hugs,

Kay :)

Pretty Pink Posh Cutting Edge Blog Hop

Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone is staying cool! We're not! It's been over 100 degrees for three days now. We've had a mild summer for the most part, but I guess summer decided to go out with a bang. I guess it will just make Fall seem that much sweeter :)

So today I have a card for the Pretty Pink Posh Cutting Edge Blog Hop! I've been hearing about this for weeks and was really looking forward to playing along! All that is required to participate is to use some kind of die cutting on your card.

And my new Mama Elephant stamps arrived just in time!

Oh these stamps are so adorable! I made six cards with this set! So much fun! For this one I cut a stitched panel out of the strawberry patterned paper and glued that down. Next I cut the scalloped circle out and mounted with foam tape. Next I colored these cute little images with my Copic markers, cut them out with the matching dies and adhered them to the circle with foam tape. Last I stamped the sentiment.

Supplies:
Sentiment by Paper Smooches
Paper: Doodlebug Design

Lots of great sponsors for the Blog hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Hugs,

Kay :)

The Card Concept Challenge #17

Hello my friends!

It's time for another fabulous challenge at The Card Concept!

This weeks challenge is to create a card inspired by this lovely photo. As soon as I saw it, I thought of my Papertrey Ink Mighty Oak Tree Cover Plate.

Here's what I did with it!

So I cut my Papertrey Ink Mighty Oak Cover Plate die and cut it out of the blue paper. I popped out all the cut outs,  then glued that down to my white card base. Next I cut out the trunk in brown and I cut the leaves out of several different shades of green. I then glued all of those back into the spaces on the blue piece. Next I cut out the stitched hill Landscape Trio from Mama Elephant, and  glued that down. I colored and die cut out my darling little Mama Elephant girl ( whom I love to pieces) In My Heart Stamp set, and mounted her on the little hill with foam tape. Lastly I cut out the hello sentiment ,Clearly Besotted, twice, glued them together and then glued that down to my card. There you have it! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Stop by and see what the other designers have created and  I hope you'll join us for the challenge at The Card Concept!

Hugs,

Kay :)

The Card Concept #15 and Paper Smooches SPARKS

Hello my friends!

It's time for another fabulous challenge at The Card Concept!

This weeks challenge is to create a card in these lovely summer colors.

And that is exactly what I did here  Those colors spoke to me, they said "summer breeze Kay". :)

I can't tell you how much fun I had creating this one. I love this die from Paper Smooches and have been wanting to use it. When I saw the colors in the inspiration photo, I just knew I could make it work with my little boat! I die cut all the different pieces and made my ocean scene fresh with flying seagulls, then  I cut out all the pieces for the sailboat and adhered it all to my scene with foam tape. I just glued the fishies and the seagull straight down. Didn't want them popping off my page :)

Supplies:
Dies- rounded corner mat- Spellbinders, stitched cloud- Mama Elephant, water- My Favorite Things, Seagulls- Lawn Fawn, Boat and fish- Paper Smooches.
Paper- Stampin Up and Recollections white

Thanks so much for stopping by! Stop by and see what the other designers have created and  I hope you'll join us for the challenge at The Card Concept!

I am also adding this card to the current Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge, anything goes!

Hugs,

Kay :)
