Lawn Fawn Winter Wonderland

Hello! I am so excited to be working with one of my all time favorite companies Lawn Fawn!  I will be guesting on a regular basis each month on the Lawn Fawn Blog! My first post is today, and I am working with some of my favorite new and older winter products. Snowy winter scenes are one of my favorite type of cards to make!

So I have a little trio of projects to share with you, two cards, and a cute little decorated gift box using the Milk Carton die!

For my first card, I used the Winter Village stamp set and dies along with Home for the Holidays stamp set and dies. I used Distress ink for my background on Bristol Board. I blended a combination of Peacock Feathers,  Cracked Pistachio and Pine Needles. I then speckled it with water and again with some white ink. I used the Stitched Hillside Backdrop Portrait die to cut out the white frame and hills and glued that down over my background. All of the images were colored with Copic markers and tucked into the hills with some liquid adhesive. The little card and two small trees were popped up with foam tape.

I added the snowflakes from the Stitched snowflake dies in the top corner, and the sentiment is from Home For The Holidays and it is embossed with white embossing powder, and cut out with the Everyday Sentiments Banner Dies.

For this card, I blended some Lawn Fawn Peacock ink onto the the white card base, then speckled some of the same ink mixed with a little water over that. When that was dry, I added the two large snowflakes cut from the Stitched Snowflake Dies with liquid adhesive. I blended some ink onto the little frame from Flirty Frames then cut  the inside part out and layered that down onto another of the same frame. The images were colored with Copic markers and then glued down to the frame with liquid adhesive.

I then mounted the frame to the card with foam tape. The sentiment was embossed with white embossing powder and cut out with the Every Day Sentiments Banners die.

Now this little milk carton I am in love with! I love to make little gift boxes for the holidays and this is such a fun one to create! I cut the carton out of Mermaid card stock, then I created the snowy hill border around the bottom with the Stitched Snow Drift Dies. All of the images were colored with Copic markers. I tucked the little houses under the snowy hills and added the trees with liquid glue. The snowman I popped up with foam tape.

I decorated three sides, but left the back plain. I added some Baker's Twine wrapped around the top and a tiny clothes pin to close it up.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have enjoyed my projects made with Lawn Fawn products!

  1. What a fabulous surprise, Kay!! I am SO excited for you to be a regular guest designer for Lawn Fawn! Your first outing is fantastic! I adore each project. I really like how the splatters on the first card have a hint of blue in them due to your ink blending. Well, the scene is amazing, too. You are the queen of making terrific scenes and clusters. The use of the frame on the second card, lovely. And the milk carton! It looks great, too. Oh you made me smile really big today! Yay! Happy weekend to you! Hugs!
