Tis The Season

Hi there! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season! I have been making a lot of holiday cards behind the scenes here and thought I would share one of those with you today. I just purchased these two stamp sets and had so much fun working with them!

I used the Tis The Season Stamp set and Tis The Season Dies from My Favorite Things along with Stained  Glass Greetings  from Simon Says Stamp. The gingham was stamped with the Micro Gingham Background stamp from Ink Blot.

I used Distress inks for the blended background and sprinkled with water. All of the cute images were colored with Copic markers, cut out with the coordinating dies and added  to the card with foam tape.

Both of the sentiments were stamp with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. The Merry was cut out with the coordinating die, and both were adhered with foam tape.

All of the supplies I have used here are linked below.

Simon Says Stamp: DieCember Release

Hi all! I hope you are enjoying this wonderful time of year! I have a card to share with you today using a couple of the new dies from the Simon Says Stamp DieCember release!

I am using the Swirling Star Trail die and the Picture Book Hugging Penguin Die along with a few older Simon Says Stamp dies. The sentiment is from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set.

I cut the background layers out with the Stitched Slopes and Hills die set and the little trees are from the Village die set.

Each die cut piece was layered over so that the cut out stars are showing the layer beneath. I tucked the small white trees in just above the snow line, and I added some tiny white dots around the stars with some white acrylic paint.

I pieced the penguin together on top of one cut out of solid white card stock, so that I could pop him up with some foam tape. I added the sentiment and a strip of striped paper along the bottom. I also added some tiny white dots to the heart the penguin is holding and to his cheeks.

You can find these products along with all of the new DieCember Release HERE!

All of the products I used are listed and linked below.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp: Watercolor Prints

Hello! I hope everyone has enjoyed the Thanksgiving weekend!
I am excited to share with you a card I created with Suzy's Classical Watercolor Prints from Simon Says Stamp! These are so much fun to color in, and they are quick! A great way to put together some handmade Christmas cards in a snap!

There is not much to tell you about how I made this card. I just watercolored the image with Peerless watercolors then cut it down to 5 1/4 x 4 inches and mounted it onto a top folded A2 size card. So quick and easy!

I did flick a little bit of white ink around after I was done watercoloring :)

You can find the new SSS Release HERE

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and Happy Week ahead!

Simon Says Stamp Release: Making Spirits Bright

Hello! Simon Says Stamps has just released their new Making Spirits Bright Collection and it is wonderful! So many beautiful new products in the store at Simon Says Stamp now!

I had the pleasure of working with a new die called Snowburst Collage. I also added a few older Simon Says Stamp dies, Village and Stitched Slopes and Hills, and Warm Wishes to create a fun winter scene!

For my background I watercolored a lovely winter sky using Peerless watercolors and Master's Touch watercolor paper. When this was dry, I cut out the Snowburst Collage die. I adhered this to a white horizontal folded card base.

Using the Stitched Slopes and Hills dies, I cut out a snowy hill and adhered that at the bottom of my card. I stamped the sentiment from Warm Wishes in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next I die the the houses and trees from Village dies out of white card stock, added a little bit of adhesive to the backs and slipped them under the top edge of my snowy hill.

A pretty quick and easy card that is relatively flat for easy mailing!

I am so glad you stopped by! Be sure to check out all of the new release from Simon Says Stamp HERE!

STAMPtember with Simon Says Blog Hop

Hello everyone!

I am thrilled to be participating in the Simon Says STAMPtember blog hop! The new STAMPtember release is now available in the store at Simon Says Stamp! It is AMAZING! So many wonderful new products to kick off your holiday card and gift making!

I am featuring the adorable new Picture Book Chihuahua die! So cute!

If you follow my blog you know I have two new puppies now, so this die spoke to me! What you might not have known, if you haven't followed my blog for a while, is that I already had three dogs! Yes! I know have five dogs! Am I crazy?? Well, perhaps... my husband might think so. I do love dogs though, and one of the puppies is my daughters, so technically I only have four right? I'm trying to make myself feel better here.
Anyway, about the card, I used some older SSS products along with this cute die. The little tag and words are from a set called Tag Sayings, and the neat swirly stitching and stars at the top is from Be Joyful, but I can't find them in the store, so I'm assuming they are retired now. So sorry about that!
For the tag, I blended some distress ink along the bottom edge and then pieced the little chihuahua die together on to the tag.

You can find all of the fabulous new STAMPtember release HERE!

Leave a comment here on my blog and on all the blogs along the hop! Simon Says Stamp is  giving away a $50 coupon to every stop on the hop this is double what they usually do for blog hops because STAMPtember® is special!  They’ll choose  winners over the weekend and post on the Simon Says Stamp store blog on Tuesday.

There will also be a blog hop tomorrow, Saturday, so be sure and check out the Simon Says Stamp blog to find out the details!

Here is a list of the participants! Next on the stop is Yoonsun Hur

"One of a Kind" Simon Says Stamp Release!

Hi Everyone! Simon Says Stamp has a wonderful new release in the store now! Lots of fun new products to make your summertime stamping shine!

For my card I used a cute new stamp set called So Cool! I stamped the solid stamps of the popsicles in Distress inks onto watercolor paper. I then took a wet brush and went around them to make them look all watercolory. Then I took the line stamps and stamped over them with black ink.

I stamped the sentiment at an angle across the bottom, then added some highlights to the popsicles with white acrylic paint. I also splattered some of the white paint over the whole thing.

This is just one of the many fun new products in the June Simon Says Stamp release!

My Daughter is a Stamp Designer!

Hello! I just had to pop in this morning and be the very proud mother that I am and let you all know that my daughter Kaylea has designed one of the new stamps sets in the Simon Says Stamp Release! To say I am excited is such an understatement! She has been using Illustrator for several years now and has way surpassed me in her talents. Okay I'm just bragging now, but I can't help it! She's my girl! :) (I had to come back and edit this post because I had so many people asking how old Kaylea is. She's 14 )

The set she designed is called So Deer.  She loves drawing little animals. Those are her favorite!

So Deer has sentiments that work for Mother's Day along with many others, which make it a cute versatile set for lots of different occasions. I don't have it yet, or I would have made a card to share with you, but you can bet it's going in my cart today!

Thanks so much for stopping by and indulging me for a bit here! I'm so proud and happy for her! She's totally over the moon excited too!

You can find So Deer HERE.

The whole Simon Says Stamps Mothers Fathers Florals Release can be found HERE.

Simon Says Stamps New Beginnings Release

Hello my friends! I am sorry for my long absence.  I had a little break. I didn't plan it nor had
I intended to take a break, it just happened. And I can't say that I haven't enjoyed it. But I've had an influx of emails over the past couple of weeks, from everyone wanting to know if I was okay, so I figured it was time for me to come out of hiding.

I have a lot going on behind the scenes! I've got new dies coming to Papertrey Ink on March 15th. I'm super excited about those. I'll have some projects to share with you on the 11th! I've got several guest design team spots coming up, and even a new team starting in April. Good stuff! I'm excited! And I've finally moved on from Christmas and winter stuff, and am enjoying seeing some flowers and spring colors. The weather here has been unbelievably warm for this time of the year, and I've spent a lot of time out in the woods with the kids and dogs. Loving that!

Anyway, I have a new card to share with you today featuring one of the new stamp sets and coordinating dies from the Simon Says New Beginnings Release. This set is called More Spring Flowers, and it is just beautiful! Some really amazing things in this release! Just in time for spring too!

Aren't those flowers beautiful! This was really a fun set to color. I used my Copic markers on this, and added a few white dots of acrylic paint.

The background was blended with Distress inks on Bristol Board. I used Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Dusty Concord, and Picked Raspberry. I blended those onto the Bristol Board, then splattered some of the same colors afterwards. I also splattered some white acrylic paint on there too.

All of the stamps were cut out with the coordinating dies and popped up with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped in Simon Says black ink and it is included in the Hope Blooms Set.

You can check out the whole release HERE or by clicking on the banner below!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I'll be back soon with more exciting things! No more break for me!

Winter Birthday Wishes

Hi there! I have a fun new card to share with you today that I created with the Flowing Vine Collage Die  from Simon Says Stamp, along with stamps from some of my favorite companies!

These are my colors people! I just don't think you can beat pink and purple, then throw in a little grey and you've got a lovely color combination! Anyway, The background I did with Blueprint Sketch Distress ink on Bristol Board then speckled with water.

I cut the Flowing Vine Collage out of white card stock and layered that over the background with foam tape. I stamped the leaves from the Botanical 2 stamp set from Paper Smooches, with the MISTI so I could get the ombre effect and adhered them with liquid glue. The little fox is from Joy To The Woods from Lawn Fawn, and was colored with Copic markers, cut out with the matching dies, and adhered with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment along the bottom with Momento Tuxedo black ink.

All supplies are listed and linked below!

I am submitting this to Darnell's NBUS Challenge HERE

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a happy week!

Kay :)
