Festive Friday

Hello and Happy Friday!

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday

Would you take a look at this lovely photo we have for inspiration this week! I absolutely LOVE snowflake stamps! I have more of them than anything else! They rival flowers in my stash :D Anyway, I got some pretty new snowflake stamps and dies from My Favorite Things for Christmas, and I thought they would be perfect for this photo!

and here is what I came up with!

The white background is cut out with a rounded rectangle die from Spellbinders. I then stamped the pretty background images with Fairisle Backgrounds from WPlus9. I inked my stamp up and then I sponged over it to get rid of most of the ink as I wanted it to be real light. The pine branches and sentiment are also from WPlus nine and the snowflakes are from My Favorite Things.

I hope you will play along with us at Festive Friday!

You can also check out the amazing talent from the other design team members at Festive Friday!

I hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend! Looks like a rainy one here for us, but at least it will not be frozen! haha! :D

Hugs,

Kay :)

  6. Lovely, Kay! I so enjoy your style. The muted colors work so well with your design. The background reminds me of a comfy sweater, so I get a soft warm vibe from the card even though it features snowflakes. You have impeccable instincts when it comes to creating cards. I hope that you cozy up in your comfy house and enjoy the rainy weekend. Maybe venture outside a bit and even jump in a puddle or two. *Ü*

  7. Kay - another stunning, amazing, eye-catching card! The background images are amazing; the perfect backdrop for your pine branches and snowflake. You've induced more swooning... Visiting your blog is always a treat, because, as I've mentioned before, you work magic with die cuts and stamps - things I can navigate my way around (well...sometimes!). Watercolours, and other trends, just don't cooperate with me, so when I head your direction, I know I'll see something totally captivating! Your creativity and talents bring me immense joy, as do your comments on my 'wee' attempts at creating. Yes - you are a gem!
