Hello and welcome to the second group post for the June Papertrey Ink Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on June 15th at 10:00 EST.
Today I'm sharing some projects I created with a really beautiful group of new products from Nichole Heady called Woodblock Prints. There are beautiful stamps, a coordinating paper pack and some fabulous stencils as well!
For my first card, I used the stamps, and created a focal point and background for my card using colors that coordinate with the paper pack, Summer Sunshine, Tropical Teal, New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz, Simply Chartreuse, and Orange Zest. I cut out three of the hearts from Enclosed: Heart die and layered those together and glued them down. I stamped a sentiment from the new The Skinny stamp set onto the banner from Tag Sale #10 and added that with foam tape.
STAMPS: Woodblocks Prints, The Skinny
DIES: Enclosed Heart, Tag Sale Die #10
INK: Tropical Teal, Summer Sunrise, Green Leaf, Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Simply Chartruese
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White
OTHER: Sequins

My next card I used the Woodblock Prints Stencils. I first blended Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, and Summer Sunrise on some watercolor paper. I then taped the stencil over my paper and used a wet paper towel to lift or pick up the ink. This is a fun technique! After it dried I splattered some ink in those same colors and some white acrylic paint as well.
I layered three of the new Big Basics: Thinking of you dies, and glued those down. I popped up with foam tape, some of the butterflies from Color Pop Butterflies MIM Mini kit, and then added a few sequins.
DIES: Big Basics Thinking of You Die, Color Pop Butterflies
INK: Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Color Pop Butterflies MIM kit papers
OTHER: Woodblock Prints Stencils, sequins

I am in love with the colors and the papers in the new Woodblock Prints paper pack! They are heavenly! I paired a piece of the blue with some Green Parakeet striped paper, and some lovely flowers from the Don't Forget To Write Make it Market kit. I cut these out with the Sentiment Splits: Curve Vertical dies and the sentiment die is the new Big Basics: Love you. I layered three of those before glueing it down.

DIES: MIM kit Don’t Forget To Write, Big Basics: Love You Die, Sentiments Splits: Curve Vertical

And for my last card, I used the Woodblock Prints stamps to create a fun and interesting background for Maile's new Splits: Way To Go. I actually paper pieced the pieces in the Splits with some of the paper from the Woodblock Prints paper pack. I also used a strip of the paper down the side as well. I stamped the design in Aqua Mist, Soft Stone, and Tropical Teal.
The Splits I stamped in Royal Velvet, and I added a few sequins to finish it up!

Wow, four visual delights today. How lucky are we?! Each one is beautiful in its own way, too and shows the versatility of PTI's products. Those Woodblock Print products look lovely. That first card is so striking with the colors you chose. That heart frames it so nicely. The second card...well, I love that one for the colors and the butterflies! Sigh. They make me sigh happily. The other two cards are beautiful too, with those fabulous colors. I like the curve in the 3rd card. So visually pleasing. The paper piecing on the last card is very clever. What an awesome group of cards, Kay! Thanks for sharing! Hugs! :)

I had just baptized some of my favorite designers with names as Goddess and Queen etc. I don't remember if I baptized you--68yrs, post menopausal and dating the German guy---that's my excuse and I am sticking to it! Well here it is.....Masterful Magician of Watercolors!
I hope you like it and if you do...you are welcome!
