Merry Monday #50

Oh wow! This is my second post for the day! This is the first time I've ever done that!

With the ice and coldness outside, I got a little extra time in the craft room today, so I worked on a few more challenge cards. I was doing this for Merry Monday and Dynamic Duos, but missed the deadline for Dynamic Duos, so it's just for Merry Monday this week! :)

This week they are doing theme and it's elegance....

Now I am not an elegant person at all and that is an understatement! Ha! I am a jeans and t-shirt, hair in the ponytail, chase the dogs around the yard girl. I wasn't even sure how to do an elegant card, but I did attempt. And I like my card very much. I hope it passes for elegant :)
I keep wanting to type elephant! See how elegant I am!! hahahahaha!!

So here goes.... :)

I created the snow hills by sponging ink with a template I created with a piece of paper, but you can't really see them in the photo, which is a really sad thing, as I thought they were neat...
The snowflakes are from Verve
Sentiment from Papertrey Ink
Big tree in the background from Penny Black
The rest are super old and I don't even think the companies are in existence anymore.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Hugs,

Kay :)

  6. Whoa Nelly, Kay, this is spectacular. I think you hit elegant and even went past it a bit. One of the things I noticed first, when I looked at the card is the hills that you sponged. They are fantastic. Honest truth, I watched a video yesterday of a gal who was using ink dusters to create a hill and I thought it looked kind of cool. Yours are far superior in the look. You've added some great depth with your sponging! Love the whole scene. Wow.
