Hello and welcome to the first post for the September Papertrey Ink Release! September is the Christmas release and I could not be more excited about all of the beautiful new things! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on September 15th at 10:00 EST.
Today I have the honor of introducing the newest addition to Betsy's Dress Up Dolls, Elves! They are so cute in their little holiday outfits! Betsy has also designed a sentiment set to go along with them called Elf Sentiments, that has a cute candy cane frame included as well.
I thought these little guys would make cute tags, so I created one with a boy elf and one with the girl elf. I used the frame from the Elf Sentiments set to create the main tag body. I glued that to the tag from Tag Sale #10. I cut a small circle out of red polka dot paper to help the sentiment stand out a bit. Everything was colored with Copic markers and added with foam tape.
I threaded some gingham ribbon through the top and tied a piece of Baker's twine around that.

And here is my little girl version, created in the same way as the boy one, but I colored her outfit red and added a green polka dot circle background for the sentiment.

And then I had to have a project that featured these two little cuties together as a pair, so I created a fun card! The Petite Places patterned paper pack has always been one of my favorites, so that was the first thing to come to mind when I was deciding on a background for these two. They look so festive in the snow! :)
Again, everything was colored with Copic markers, cut out with the matching dies, and adhered with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll have more to share with you on the 12th when we begin our group post!
Kay :)
Super sweet card and tags, Kay!
ReplyDeleteOooh, it's so good to "see" you again, Kay! You've been missed by me, that is for sure. Your tags are adorable. I really like that you made a boy and a girl version. Your details are always spot on. Your coloring is fantastic and the embellishments are placed just so. One thing I noticed that looks great to me is how you have added the baker's twine to the ribbon creating the hanger for the tag. That's really a neat touch. I'll have to remember that. :) Thanks so much for sharing these adorable tags and card. Your work is always inspiring! Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs!! :)
