Papertrey Ink Release In Review

Hello and welcome to my Release In Review post for the May  Papertrey Ink  Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink  tonight at 10:00 EST.

I have lots of fun things to share with you that I wasn't able to squeeze into my other posts! I hope you enjoy and are inspired by all of the new products!

My first card uses Betsy's newest Paper Clippings: Thinking of You. I just love this wreath! This was really a pretty simple card to create.  I blended a bit of Classic Kraft ink onto my white card base for a subtle background. Then I just cut the die out,  colored it with Copic markers, and glued it down. Easy peasy!

Nichole's new Garden Garland dies are just stunning! I blended some Soft Stone ink on the leafy garland frame and glued that down with liquid adhesive. I only touched the glue to the center parts, because I wanted to be able to flip the edges of the leaves up a bit for dimension. I blended the beautiful new shade of ink Americana on the flowers, and left a few of them white as well. I stamped the sentiment in the center with Soft Stone ink, and added a few sequins to the centers of the flowers.

Next up is a card I created with Erin's adorable new Sweet Dreams stamp set! Who doesn't love jammies! These are so fun! I stamped the Star Scribbles first with waterproof black ink, then watercolored my background with Peerless watercolors. I colored the jammies and little bear with colored pencils, cut them out, and added them with foam tape.

For this card, I used Maile's newest addition to the Splits series and paired it up with some fun patterned papers! I have always loved purple and green together. I colored everything with Copic markers and popped them up with foam tape. I added the white leaves from the Song Birds dies and a few sequins.

This sweet card I created with the new Big Basics: Sending Sunshine die. I used Hawaiian Shores to blend some ink along the bottom edge, then layered two of the die cuts before adhering to my card base. I added a strip of paper from the Ombre Stripes paper pack and a small strip of Aqua Mist card stock to the bottom edge. The cute little bird and all of the pretty little flowers are from the new Make It Market Kit: Sunshine & Rainbows. The little green leaves are from Betsy's Paper Clippings: Thinking of You set.

I just love how this one turned out! I used the new Americana ink along with Scarlet Jewel for the flowers, and I really like the combination! The sentiment is from the new Inspired series Praise, a really beautiful set. And I know I said it before, but I love the wreath from Paper Clippings: Thinking of You. I can see myself pulling that out a lot!  I stamped the wreath with Classic Kraft directly onto my card base, then stamped a few of the little leaves as well. The flowers and leaves in the lower corner, I stamped, cut out with the dies, and added with foam tape. I also stamped the sentiment in Scarlet Jewel directly onto the card base over the wreath.

And then there is this, which I really love! It's so different, and I kept staring at it after I finished it, but I loved it!  My Mom even came over after I finished it and singled it out of all of my cards, and said "wow, that's pretty!" There's nothing better than "Mom Love"! :D

Anyway, the base is Soft Stone ( I've kind of fallen in love with that color) and I added a strip of Pure Poppy + Red striped paper at the bottom, and a small strip of Smokey Shadow. I cut out two of the Scene It: Celebration dies and glued those down, then stamped the sentiment in the center.  I added the flowers and leaves from Paper Clippings: Thinking of you ... then I thought I was done with this card.... but I kept looking at it thinking it needed something else, and that that something else needed some black in it. So I looked around and came up with the Splits: Celebrate set. I stamped it in True Black, cut it out with the die, then I cut the ribbon into pieces and added them around my flowers and leaves. I was happy then, so I added a few sequins and some small dots of white acrylic paint.
