Hello and welcome to the Third group post for the May Papertrey Ink Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on May 15th at 10:00 EST.
Betsy has a brand new Make It Market Mini kit this month and it is so adorable! Rainbows, sunshine, a cute little bird, and sweet little flowers, everything you need to create some happy cards!
For my first card, I watercolored a background using Peerless watercolors. I then stamped and cut out all of the cute little elements and added those with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment on a tiny banner and I added some small white dots with acrylic paint and a few sequins.
I sponged some Aqua Mist ink along the bottom of the Sunshine die, cut out and layered three of them, then glued it to the top of the cloud.

For this card, I used the Rainbow XL die. This die does not come with the Make it Market kit, but coordinates wonderfully with it!
I used Peerless watercolors again for this one. I watercolored my paper first, added some white splatters with acrylic paint, let it dry very well, then cut out the rainbow. I also watercolored the background before glueing the rainbow down. The die comes with an extra cloud, which I love, so I cut that out and popped it up with some foam tape. I cut out three each of the "Sunshine and Rainbows" dies, layered those, and glued them down with liquid adhesive. I added the small stamped sentiment on a banner cut from the Tag Sale #10 dies and a few clear sequins.
STAMPS: Sunshine & Rainbows
DIES: Rainbow XL, Tag Sale #10
INK: True Black
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White
OTHER: Watercolor Paper, Peerless watercolors, Sequins

For my last card, I wanted to play with the stencils that come in the kit. I chose the heart starburst stencil, although I completely covered up the heart.... I sponged over the stencil using Distress inks: Picked Raspberry, Abandon Coral, and Mustard Seed. I splattered some of those same colors using a paint brush and let this dry well. I used the top portion of Maile's new Splits: Thank you for the top, and colored with Copic markers. Then I stamped the Hello from Erin's new Colorful Words set, colored that in with Copics as well, and adhered with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment with True Black ink onto a Ripe Rasberry banner I cut out with the Tag Sale: Quilted Die.
STAMPS: Colorful Words, Splits: Thank You
DIES: Splits: Thank You, Tag Sale: Quilted
INK: True Black, Raspberry Fizz
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Raspberry Fizz
OTHER: Watercolor paper, Distress Inks, Copic markers
