Hello and welcome to my first post for the March Papertrey Ink Countdown! We have some amazing new products this month, and I am so excited to show you some of the fun things I've created with them!
All of the products you are seeing today will be available at the Papertrey Ink online store at 10:00pm EST on March 15th.
Today I'm showcasing a beautiful new stamp set by Nichole Heady called Script Swirls: Birthday. I loved this set the minute I saw the previews for it, and was so excited that I got to show it off! It's a "Kay" set :) These Script Swirls are so versatile! They can be used as focal points or backgrounds, especially when paired up with the accents and stars included in the set!
For my first card, I stamped the swirly birthday sentiment on watercolor paper, in waterproof black ink, and watercolored all around it with Peerless watercolors. The butterflies are cut out with the Cover Plate: Bitty Butterflies die, and stamped in Hawaiian Shores, Summer Sunrise, New Leaf, and Limeade Ice.
I added the leafy branches from the Embellished Elegance stamp set and dies, and cut them flush with the edges.
STAMPS: Script Swirls: Birthday, Bitty Butterflies, Embellished Elegance
DIES: Cover Plate: Bitty Butterflies, Embellished Elegance
INK: New Leaf, Hawaiian Shores, Summer Sunrise, Spring Moss, Limeade Ice
PAPER: Stampers Select white
For my next card here, I stamped the swirly sentiment in two tones. I did this using my MISTI and sponging on Tropical Teal and New Leaf. You don't have to have a MISTI to do this, it just makes it a little easier, because you can do it more than once for a darker image. I then stamped all the fun little accents around the swirls in new Green Parakeet, Summer Sunrise, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal and Aqua Mist.
The flowers are from the One Big Happy stamp set, and stamped in Hawaiian Shores and Summer Sunrise. I stamped the leaves in Green Parakeet. I added a few sequins to finish this up!
STAMPS: Script Swirls: Birthday, One Big Happy
DIES: One Big Happy
INK: Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Green Parakeet, Summer Sunrise
PAPER: Stamper’s Select white
For my last project I made a cute little tag to finish out my birthday ensemble. I watercolored the swirled sentiment like on my first card. I cut it out with the dies from Shaker Shapes: Circle, and glued all the pieces down to the Tag Sale #4 die, so I'd have a little hanger at the top.
I threaded some string through the top and added one of the butterflies from Bitty Butterflies with some foam tape.
STAMPS: Scripted Swirls: Birthday, Bitty Butterflies
DIES: Cover Plate: Bitty Butterflies, Shaker Shapes Circle, Tag Sale #4
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Hawaiian Shores
That is all from me today! I can't wait to share some more of the fun things I've done with the Papertrey Ink March Release!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Remember all of the new products will be available at Papertrey Ink on March 15, 10:00 PM EST!
