Hello!
I'm excited to be joining the Essentials by Ellen Mix it Up Challenge this month creating a card that features products from two of my favorite companies, My Favorite Things and Essentials by Ellen!
My card is up on the My Favorite Things blog as well as The Ellen Hutson Classroom, but I'm allowed to share it with you here on my blog too! Yay! :)
I started by watercoloring a background with my favorite watercolors, Peerless. I tired to use colors for the background that I knew would match the colors of the flowers and leaves I was planning on using. I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Bohemian Garden stamp set with MFT dye inks then took a watercolor brush and went around the edges with water to blend the colors for a bit of a watercolor look. I cut them all out with the matching dies and adhered them with foam tape.
I used the Label Maker sentiments and the Stars & Wishes Die-namics to create the sentiment, then added a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins to finish it up!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Check out the Ellen Hutson Classroom to play along with this challenge! All of the products I used are listed and linked below!

What a fun challenge, Kay! Congrats on being invited to play. And play you did. Your card is beautiful. There you go with your wonderful watercoloring! I like how you put the colors where the same color flowers would go. Clever idea that works so well! You clustered them perfectly. I also really like the colors in the sentiment and the black and white pieces really pop. All around fantastic card! Hugs! :)
ReplyDeleteKay this is stunning ... you do have a way of making those Peerless watercolors come alive like no other! I am inspired to play along! What a wonderful duo of companies!
