MFT November Release Countdown Day 1

I am back for the last day of the My Favorite Things Release Countdown! It has flown by and there are only mere hours until all of the fabulous new stamps and dies will be available!

Be sure to check out the My Favorite Things Blog to see a full reveal of today's products, and to see what all the other fabulous design team members have done! All of the new products will be available tomorrow, November 3rd, at 10:00pm EST!

If you like the animals, like I do, you will love what we are showcasing today!

Isn't that little kitty the sweetest? I just love it! For this card, I stamped the sentiment from the Toasty Greetings stamp set along the bottom, then cut a piece of grout gray with the scalloped borders die and layered that on top with foam tape. I added some small clear PPP sequins in each scallop. I created my little scene with the new Stitched Pinking Edge Square STAX Die-namics for the base. I layered a Sno Cone piece cut with the Cross Stitched square die-namics and a snowy hill cut with the same die then again with the snowdrifts die-namics. The kitty, tree and snowballs are all colored with Copic markers, cut out and adhered with foam tape.

The subtle pattern you see on the background of the blue piece is the Winter Waves background stamp. I stamped this with Sno cone dye ink. This may be my favorite of my cards from the whole new release... and I'm a dog person :)

My next card features his cute doggy friend!

To create my background, I used watercolor paper and Peerless watercolors. After they dried I used the Star Celebration stencil and a damp sponge to wipe the paint out and leave the white stars. The stamps were colored with Copic markers, cut out with the matching die-namics and mounted with foam tape. The snowflakes are from the Let It Snowflake Die-namics and glued down flat to the background. I added a few PPP sequins to make it shine!

These little cats and dogs just make me smile! Can't wait to use them again! Hint hint ( tomorrow) :)

Make sure you hop on over to the  My Favorite Things Blog to see a full reveal of today's products, and to see what all the other fabulous design team members have done! And don't forget, tomorrow, November 3rd, at 10:00pm EST all the new products will be in the MFT Online store! Can't wait!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)

Knowing you are a dog person, I was surprised the kitty card would be a favorite, but you are an equal opportunity artist! :) I so enjoy all the details you add to your cards. Your backgrounds are amazing! They look so clean, but I'm sure it's not that easy to obtain the effect you are going for. You are so good at creating sweet little scenes!
