MFT August Release Countdown Day One!

Hello again!

I am back for the last day of the My Favorite Things Release Countdown! It has flown by and there are only mere hours until all of the fabulous new stamps and dies will be available!

Be sure to check out the My Favorite Things Blog to see a full reveal of today's products, and to see what all the other fabulous design team members have done! All of the new products will be available August 4th at 10:00pm EST!

This is one amazing new release! I so love everything in it! Today I am showcasing an adorable stamp set call Bionic Bots with the cutest little robots you've ever seen! And that means a lot coming from me, because shhhh... I am really not a big fan of robots... you didn't hear me say that though, because these robots are super cute!! I also have some Halloweeny stuff to show you that's super fun!

What'd I tell ya??? Is that not precious?? This is actually one of my favorite cards for the whole release! I love him! I sponged some Berrylicious dye ink on some smooth white card stock for the background.  I glued a strip of black striped paper from the Dots & Stripes Neutral 6x6 Paper pack along the bottom, and stamped the sentiment with Black licorice hybrid ink. The robot is colored with Copics and mounted with foam tape. The little hearts were an afterthought and I very very carefully stamped them and colored with Copics.

I added a few little white dots with my gel pen :)

Now for some spooky fun! My next card features the new Spooky House Die-namics!

I watercolored the background with Peerless watercolors. The house is cut out with Black licorice card stock and I added Daffodil card stock to the back of the windows so the watercoloring wouldn't show through. The striped paper at the bottom is again from the Dots & Stripes Neutral 6x6 Paper pack and I added a little strip of Orange Fizz card stock at the top. I stamped the Trick or Treat sentiment from the Frightfully Fun Stamp set and added the bats and a few clear 4mm Pretty Pink Posh sequins!

My last card for today features the Four Way Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics!

Doesn't that just make ya smile? So bright and cheery! I watercolored a piece of watercolor paper with pinks, oranges and yellows, then cut out and layered the Four Way Chevron die on top. I cut a stitched banner out, stamped the sentiment, and glued that across the center. All of the stamps were colored with Copic markers and adhered with foam tape.

Well folks, tomorrow is the big day when you can purchase all of this beautiful and amazing new stuff! There are a few items that I am predicting a pretty quick sell out!

Make sure you hop on over to the  My Favorite Things Blog to see a full reveal of today's products, and to see what all the other fabulous design team members have done! And don't forget, tomorrow, August 4th at 10:00pm EST all the new products will be in the MFT Online store! Can't wait!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)

  5. Amazing! Okay, not a huge fan of robots myself, but I think you could covert me in a heartbeat with more cards like this one! SO cute! Your heart afterthought is spot on a perfect addition. You + watercoloring is just about the best combination there is! Adore the backgrounds you created on the next two cards. Spookilicious on the haunted house one. But also fun. I like the diagonal stripes on the bottom of the card, too. And the last one. Big, huge, happy face grin on my face. Imagine how happy the recipient of this card would be. Beautiful colors, wonderfully colored cluster and a majorly heartwarming sentiment. Um, in case you missed the 2x4 to the head...I really like your work! :) HUGS!
