Hello my friends!
I hope you have had a wonderful weekend so far. I have had one of my favorite kinds. The kind where I have nothing I have to do, and no where I have to go. Those are so nice :)
Anyway, I just wanted to share a card that I made with some of the adorable stamps and dies from the My Favorite Things August Release. I absolutely love beachy/tropical stuff! It's second only to Christmas and winter!
I just love all of those palm trees and that adorable little turtle :) All of the stamps were colored with Copic markers. I stamped the background with the Wave Background stamp onto Summer Splash card stock with Summer Splash dye ink. I used the Wonky Chevron stencil to stencil the pattern onto the white double stitched oval, and cut a piece of patterned paper from the Dots and Stripes Neutrals pack for the sand. Everything is adhered with foam tape and a few 4mm clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins were added last.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Kay :)
That sounds like an absolutely perfect weekend to me Kay! Love your gorgeous coloring. Stunning scene you've created.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy weekend for you, Kay! I'm sure you have made the most of your time. :) And if this card was created while you had your happy time, well, the mojo juice was flowing big time! You know I adore your scenes. That turtle is just the cutest! He looks so darn happy there among the palm trees and flowers. You found his sweet spot for sure. I like the waves on the blue and the bit of interest in the wonky chevrons. Your coloring is fantastic. You've got great style. :)

ReplyDeleteI would know your cards anywhere! Bold, bright, beautiful colors, perfect placement of stamps, dies and sentiments and of course the signature white gel pen dots! I am so in love with your style and when I grow up and become talented (I'm 58 and not at all artistically talented, lol) I want to be an artist just like you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling, colourful island paradise you've created for your cutie-patootie turtle! I want to parachute right in and take photos (after giving Mr. Turtle a little hug first, though). Gorgeous in every way...
