Hello Friends!
This is the first official day of the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown and it's also their 9th birthday! This new release is packed with amazing new stamps and dies all celebrating birthdays!! I am so excited to share my projects with you! I LOVE everything about this new release!! Be sure to check out the MFT blog for a full reveal of today's featured stamps and dies, and mark your calendar for July 7th at 10 p.m. EST when all of the fabulous new products will be available in the MFT online store!
Today we are featuring a new Blueprint and it's awesome! It's all you need to create amazing birthday cards for your friends and family!
Along with the new birthday Blueprint 26, I also used the new Split Diagonal stencil to created that pretty rainbow effect at the bottom. I sponged Razzle Berry, Daffodil, Limelight, and Blu Raspberry dye inks through the stencil and also on the piece that I cut the Happy and the Brithday sentiments out of. I layered the Happy sentiment just sightly askew on top of a white Happy. I did a very light watercolor wash on the white background and added a few sequins for a kind of confetti look!
My next card features the same Blueprints 26 along with the same color combination of inks, just a little bit different arrangement and using the smaller balloon instead of the large one.
This time I stenciled the background with just the Blu Raspberry ink and splattered a few drops around too. I used the Star Celebration stencil to lightly stencil a few stars on the balloon!
I layered the happy die cut twice and also added a few Razzle berry ink splatters to the balloon.
I hope you have enjoyed the first previews of the July release for My Favorite Things! Be sure to stop by the MFT blog and see a full reveal of todays products and see what all the other fabulous design team members have done!
See you tomorrow for Day 4!!
Hugs,
Kay :)
