Hello Friends!
I am playing along with the Case This Sketch Challenge this week!
I loved this sketch and just had to give it a try!
Here's what I did with it!
Using watercolor paper, I watercolored the top left of the card lightly with some aqua blue Peerless watercolor. I let that dry and stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice dye ink. I cut the greenery and flower pieces out of different colored card stock and lightly watercolored on them a bit too. I added some dots with my white gel pen, and adhered the leaves with a dab of glue just to the top of the leaves. I adhered the flower with foam tape. I adhered my whole watercolored panel, with foam tape, to an A2 size top folded card base of smooth white card stock.
And a little bit of a side view so you can see the dimension. I lifted the leaves up a bit after the glue dried. I added a few Lime Sorbet Pink Pretty Post sequins too :)
This one certainly ticks all the boxes Kay!
ReplyDeleteSo beautifully designed. Thanks for joining us at Case this sketch !
Gorgeous, Kay! The blue watercolor background provides a wonderful foundation for the flowers and leaves to shine off of. Great idea to watercolor on the die cut pieces, too. And to add the white details! The pretty green sequins are absolutely the right amount of sparkle. Fabulous work, my friend! Hugs! :)
