Happy World card making day everyone! And what a great one it is! It's chilly here, the trees are turning colors and I'm going to spend the whole day in my craft room celebrating and creating! I just don't think it gets much better than that ;)
I have a sweet little card I made for the challenge at Virginia's View. The challenge this time is clean and simple, which I dearly love, although my cards rarely fall into the simple category.
When I first saw this cute set from Mama Elephant, for some reason, I immediately thought of Peace on Earth with the lion and the lamb. Perhaps it's because I love Christmas so much :) I couldn't wait to put this together though. I first cut out the stitched white panel and stamped the little sprig of greenery along the bottom. Next I stamped the sentiment and cut out the banner and added that with some foam tape. I colored the lion and lamb with Copics and cut them out with their matching dies and added them above the banner with foam tape. I then cut out the two snowflakes, one out of white card stock and one out of gold glitter card stock and mounted them with foam tape above the little lamb. I then mounted the whole white panel on the natural card base with foam tape.
- Stamps: Greenery - Love Lives Here-Holdiays-PTI, Lion and Lamb- Carnival Cupcakes- Mama Elephant, Sentiment- Paper Smooches
- Dies- Stitched die- Lil Inkers, Banner- My Favorite Things, White snowflake- My Favorite Things, Gold Snowflake- Spellbinders
I am entering this card in the Mama Elephant Anything goes challenge and Virginia's View Clean and Simple challenge.
And last but certainly not least, I thought I would share a picture of my little Halloween tree. After Halloween, I take the spooky ornaments off and add my Thanksgiving ones.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a very happy World Cardmaking Day!
Hugs,
Kay :)

ReplyDeleteYour fall/Halloween tree is so fun!
What a lovely card, Kay! I love how you colored the lion. The sparkly snowflake is so pretty and Amy looked over my shoulder (because I called her over to see your tree) and she (as well as I) adored the font on the sentiment. (big grin). Your tree...omg...how cute is that?! LOVE it! Look at all the fun Halloween goodness on it! I must ask, where did you get it? I love that it has a realistic looking trunk. Thanks for sharing. I'm off to check out your fabulousness at TE!
