Hello and happy Wednesday!
I hope everyone is doing well! I had a wonderful weekend with my hubby. I took both of my Mac computers in to be updated with the new OS, I got two new pair of glasses, I picked up some new clothes for the kiddos, AND... I got to go to both Michael's and Hobby Lobby!! I have a great guy don't I? :) We did lots of other fun things too, but the best part of all was getting home and seeing my dear little family and my dogs... OH and making something!! I can only go so long before I have terrible creating withdrawals! haha!
Anyway, it is time again for the wonderful Card Concept Challenge! Every week it's so fun to see all the different ways that each of you interpret the inspiration.
So this week we're doing butterflies! How perfect for spring! Yes, Spring is going to happen this year. I have faith!
I only have one butterfly anything and it's a new lovely die that I got for Christmas from MFT. Can you believe that I have not one single butterfly stamp? I don't know what's wrong with me!! I need to remedy that this year! :D
So anyway, this is what I did with my one butterfly die.
I just randomly cut up some patterned paper on the diagonal from some scraps that I had, and glued them down for the background. I'm sorry, I don't know where the paper is from. I love to cut up my paper and take it out of the packs and scatter it all around in different places in my craft room when I get it. So it's rare that I know, who, where it's from. That lovely butterfly is from My Favorite Things as is the nice little Hello Friend sentiment. So there you have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Stop by and see what the other designers have created and I hope you'll join us for the challenge at The Card Concept!
Hugs,
Kay :)
Hi Kay! I'm so glad you and your hubby had such a fun and productive weekend! Times like that can sure rejuvenate you. Ahhhhh, a challenge that makes me smile big, because it involves butterflies. My favorite! You DO have to remedy the fact that you only have one butterfly missy. (LOL) You made excellent use of it here! I love what you created and I think I am going to case it! (except for the sentiment, cuz I don't have that). The paper looks to me to be from K & Co and may even be called Sweet Nectar (but don't quote me on that). How sad that I knew that, huh? I love the use of the paper regardless of the manufacturer. The whole card is just beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you all had a wonderful time together. How nice. Your card is fabulous as always. I love those various strips.
ReplyDeleteIf you're only going to have one butterfly (stamp or die) in your arsenal, I think this is the one to have! I love all the dimension, and that you die cut him with tone-on-tone colors...so pretty Kay! Speaking of 'pretty', I love your patterned papers! Once again, you've mixed and matched the perfect colors and patterns to create this gorgeous card! Thanks so much for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOh...you went to Michael's and Hobby Lobby? You are a lucky girl :)
ReplyDeleteKay, you may have only one butterfly die, but wow, wow and wow! I'm swooning over the magic you've created with it, not to mention coveting it in a big way! I have a variety of butterfly dies/stamps, and yet, I want more and more! This one looks on the 'large' size and oh, what an eye-catcher it is! Your rays of patterned paper create the perfect canvas for your pretty flutter. In love with card? Only absolutely!! Great to hear about your fabulous weekend with your husband, and to know that you've returned with even more sparkles of energy (your blog is always filled with effervescent delight!) and some new goodies in tow! Hugs~c
