Hello and Happy December 16th!
I cannot believe we are just barely a week a way from Christmas! It has flown by! Why oh why does my very favorite time of the year have to fly by so fast?? And I have so much to do that I don't get to enjoy it as I should. I have decided that this year, I'm extending my Christmas season on through January. That way all the hustle and bustle will be over and I can sit back and do all of the Christmas crafts I want to do and enjoy it. Seriously, I'm going to do this. I kind of have done this the past couple of years, because I'm never "over" Christmas after December 25th.
Anyway, couldn't pass up another chance to make a card with snowflakes on it! I probably have more snowflake stamps than any other kind. I love them!
All of the snowflake stamps are from Paper Smooches and the Merry die is from Papertrey Ink. I love pink and brown together, so I thought I would use that lovely combination on this card.
I'm adding this to the Curtain Call challenge and the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great week!
Hugs,
Kay :)
I hear you!! I just saw the most cutest DIY Cupcake Ornaments, and i wanne make them so bad with my girls.Next year,i wanne get a white tree...so i'll probably be spending the next few weeks/month making some purple and teal ones with my girls for next Christmas.I have found so many great projects lately, which wouldn't make much sence starting now,i wanne enjoy them longer than just a week or so.And the longer i wait, the cheaper the Christmas decoration stuff becomes in the stores. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour card is as always...perfect! I love the snowflakes and the papers you used for the Merry!! Beautiful!!
Great colour combo and love the snowflake images :) Thanks for joining us at The Curtain Call.
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous Kay. I also love the pink and kraft together. And I really like your approach to Christmas not being over by the 25th.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Merry! Fabulous card~
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I love your color choices. So cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right! Where has the time gone?
This card is beautiful. Love these colors together too! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, but your card is absolutely stunning! Perfect in every way! I'm with you on extending Christmas beyond the 25th, especially since I am nowhere near done my cards, or gift buying! Dec 26 is Boxing Day in Canada, with sales galore - often of Christmas-themed items - so I'mm carrying on with the celebration! It's too early to stop making Christmas cards, especially since some new products just arrived! I'm joining your in the 'extension'! Thanks sooo much for the birthday wishes; another serving of sparkles added to my day!!

Absolutely gorgeous card, Kay! I love the color combo and your snowflakes are just beautiful with your die cut sentiment!
ReplyDeleteGood for you to extend your Christmas holiday this year...why not? It's the little things in life, so enjoy it!
Kay, Two things...first, your card is stunning and I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. Wow! Second, I couldn't agree more about extending Christmas past the 25th (as it is still the Christmas season until January)! I love to make Christmas cards and crafts after Christmas, especially if I receive new crafty goodies under the tree! I'll be crafting that whole week after Christmas, and now I'll think of you!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card Kay! I love the pink! Thank you so much for sharing with us at the Curtain Call!
ReplyDeleteKay you are one brilliant lady! First of all, you consistently create absolute stunners when it comes to cardmaking. This card is no exception. I love the idea pink and craft together and it looks fabulous in snowflakes. Second for extending the holiday season. Takes so much pressure off and you can enjoy creating without a deadline per se. I see so many ideas right about this time and it's not physically possible to something about them all. I will join you on extending the season. Thanks for voicing what a lot of ladies probably feel. Brilliant!* Ü*
ReplyDeleteVery pretty...love your layout and color combo...lovely:)!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, can I just tell you how much I LOVE this card! Seriously, you are amazing! The patterned paper you used for the 'merry' with the snow flakes in the background - stamped in perfectly chosen colours! Wowza is all I can say! CAS and fabulous! Here here for extending Christmas!! I'm in!
ReplyDeleteKay, this is GORGEOUS!!! Loooove everything about this card! I think I'll have to CASE it someday (and of course will happily give credits to the brilliant creator of the original :) )

And what a festive snowflake card it is, Kay! I am in love with this!! Don't forget that you can join in every week all year long with the fun Merry Monday challenge. And there is Jingle Bells and a few other ones, too! That's what I'm doing in 2014. I had more peeps added to my list than last year, so it's been madness, which I don't want to repeat! BTW, I'd love to add you to my list, if you'd like to send me your address via my email darnell dot knauss at g mail dot com. (It's on my profile page.)
