The Greetery: A Little Something Just For You

Hi All! I am up on The Greetery  blog today for the TGIF feature and wanted to share it here on my blog as well.

While I was working on my projects for the Gathered Blessing Collection I spent one whole day doing nothing but coloring and die cutting the gorgeous leaves and branches from the Botanicuts: Mighty Oak die set. I had so much fun with these! So needless to say I had a lot left over to play with and that is exactly what I did! I created this fun little gift box, just perfect to send a little fall treat to a friend or family member.

I used Bristol Board Cardstock and Distress Oxide inks to color the leaves. The colors I used are vintage Photo, Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber. I also speckled them with Vintage Photo after blending.

To create the little box, I used the Create-A-Crate dies and the Shiplap Builder dies. I made the box out of kraft cardstock and then I added the shiplap pieces on top of the slats.

On either side of the box, I stamped the cute fall sentiments from theTop Down Autumn Day stamp set and added the square frame around them that is included in the Create-A-Crate die set. I popped the frame up with foam tape.

After the box was all put together I went around some of the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, then I added the leaves and acorns with foam tape. The little tag on the front is from the Speed Tagging Christmas Sentiments and was cut out with the Sentiment Suite Dies. It was also added with foam tape.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today and may it inspire you to try something similar with some of the new products from the Gathering Blessings Collection!

Hugs,

Kay :)
