Forget Me Not Notes

Hello and welcome to the third group post for the June  Papertrey Ink  Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on June 15th at 10:00 EST.

Wait until you see the beautiful new things Betsy Veldman had created! I'm in love with the Forget Me Not stamps, and the new Noted Die Collection and Double Ups: Rectangles are just what I've been wanting! Love them!!

For my first project, I used the Forget Me Not stamps and dies along with the Noted: Scalloped Square dies. The Noted Scalloped Square dies leave a beautiful embossed scallop around the edge, but it does not show up very well in my photo. I stamped the flowers in what I thought were traditional Forget Me Not colors, Blueberry Sky for the blue and the darker part in the center is Royal Velvet. I sponged the Royal Velvet onto my stamp so it wouldn't be super dark.

I adore this small square size for note cards! I layered three of the Forgot dies together and adhered it with liquid glue to the edges of my frame. The flowers I added with foam tape. I did blend a little bit of Blueberry Sky ink onto the background to make the white sentiment stand out a bit more.

STAMPS: Forget Me Not
DIES: Forget Me Not, Noted: Scalloped Square Dies
INK: Blueberry Sky, Royal Velvet, Summer Sunrise, Spring Moss
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Spring Moss

For this card, I used the beautiful new ink color Pale Peony for my flowers. The darker centers were stamped with Berry Sorbet which coordinates with it beautifully! I created my own patterned paper by using the smallest flower from the set and stamping it with Soft Stone Ink onto white card stock. My card and the frames and stitched panel are all from the Noted: Scalloped A2 Dies. I sponged a bit of Pale Peony ink onto the center oval before glueing down the sentiment die.

I think the Forget Me Nots are quite pretty in pink! And I had to add grey leaves, because I have kind of fallen in love with gray leaves lately. Gray is my new green :) If you look closely you can see much better on this card, the beautiful scalloped embossing around the gray frame.

  1. Oh my, these are absolutely beautiful, Kay! I adore the scalloped edges and the square size. Those little flowers are lovely as forget-me-nots in blue and pink. The green frame on the first card is perfect, as is the blending. You sure have some pretty one word dies! I adore the random stamping on the second card. It looks as though you bought the paper. Gosh, it's pretty. And I am really liking your use of gray leaves. You own some really pretty gray inks. Not necessarily easy to find. Two wonderful cards! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!! :)
