Hello and welcome to the first day of the Papertrey Ink Anniversary Festivities! I am thrilled beyond thrilled to be joining this amazing team of designers for 2016! It's pretty surreal to see my picture up there with so many that I have admired for so long.
Boy do we have some fun things planned for the next 10 days, lots of challenges, and of course peeks of all the new February release products. And seriously people, when I got my first preview of the February release, I almost hyperventilated!! It is stunning! I love every single thing... A LOT!!
So today we have shared over on Nichole's blog a favorite card from 2015, along with the list of colors we used to create it. And now we are challenged to share a brand new card for 2016 created with those very same colors. You can find all of the designers favorite cards and color schemes on Nichole's blog!
Here is my new card created with the lovely combination of Raspberry Fizz, Simply Chartreuse, Orange Zest, Sweet Blush, and Summer Sunrise.
I adore this color scheme and I have used a couple of PTI stamp sets that I also love. The Day Dreamer stamp set is one of my most loved sets. My Mom and I both have used that set so much and still love it like it was new! I stamped the Happy sentiment with my MISTI using Sweet Blush at the top and Raspberry Fizz at the bottom to give the ombre effect. Everything was adhered with foam tape.
I cut a piece of the pink striped paper from the Ombre Stripes paper pack with the Sentiment Splits : Angle Vertical dies and glued it along the bottom of my card. I stamped the birthday sentiment and also cut it with the Sentiment Splits.
- STAMPS: Stacked Sentiments, Day Dreamer
- DIES: Stacked Sentiments, Day Dreamer, Sentiment Splits: Angle Vertical
- INK: Raspberry Fizz, Simply Chartreuse, Orange Zest, Sweet Blush, Summer Sunrise
- PAPER: Stamper’s Select, Ombre Stripes paper pack
That is all I have today, but I have SO much fun stuff to share with you in the next ten days! Be sure to stop by Nichole's blog to read all about the Anniversary Festivities going on and also stop by the other design team members blogs to see their inspiration!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
