Introducing Tulip Time, Spring Woods & Splits

Hello I can't believe we are already on day six of of the Anniversary post and I still have so much stuff to show you!  Don't forget there are lots of fun challenges and huge giveaways going on so be sure to stop by Nichole's blog to participate!

All of the new products you are seeing shown will be available for sale at Papertrey Ink on February 15th at 10:00 EST.

Mere words cannot express how much I love these new products today! Did you love Winter Woods? Oh my goodness!!! There is Spring Woods now!! I'm in love!! And tulips? You can't have spring without tulips! Except that most years, our tulips pop their little heads up through the snow or promptly get covered up by it.

Okay on to the projects! My first card features the very beautiful Spring Woods stamp set and dies by Nichole Heady. I love it!

Now I only have one card to share with you made with this set, but I stamped and cut out a lot of these darling little birds and those pretty flowering limbs, so I can stick them in all kinds of future projects. I blended some Hawaiian Shores on my  white card stock for a subtle background before adding the bird and limbs.

The flowers I stamped in Spring Rain and Lavender Moon using the MISTI to get the two different tones.

This stamp set also has some beautiful and versatile sentiments, so it can be used for so many different occasions. This will definitely be one of those stamp sets that gets used so much it quits sticking to the backing plastic! haha!

STAMPS: Spring Woods
DIES: Spring Woods
INK: Classic Kraft, Hawaiian Shores, Ocean Tides, Dark Chocolate, Spring Moss, Spring Rain, Lavender Moon
PAPER: Stamper’s Select white card stock

My next card features a stunning new stamp set from Betsy Veldman called Tulip Time!

I really love how clean and simple this card is. I tried several different things before going CAS here. I blended some backgrounds, I watercolored some backgrounds, and nothing was working for me, so I tried just laying these pretty tulips down on the white card stock and loved it!  I added the little strip of Stormy Sea striped paper at the bottom and thought that was the perfect touch!

I just love how pretty these tulips are with the multi stamping! They looks so real!

STAMPS: Tulip Time

Okay, I loved that Stormy Sea striped paper at the bottom of my tulip card so much that I had to do it again! :) Papertrey Ink is releasing it's ever so popular Quart and Pint Jars stamps and dies individually! This card uses the Quart jar and matching die. I stamped some of the greenery from Betsy's new Tulip Time set in the jar and watercolored over them slightly and all around the edges to get the water effect. I filled the jar with some of the Peonies from Dawn's new Peonies On Parade set.

STAMPS: Just The Jar Quart, Peonies On Parade, Friendship Jar
DIES: Just The Jar Quart, Peonies On Parade, Friendship Jar
INK: True Black
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White card stock, Stormy Sea + White paper collection
OTHER: Watercolor paper, Peerless watercolors

Okay one more for ya! This one is featuring the Splits: Just a Note stamp set and dies, a new series of stamps by Maile Belles. Super cute!!

Isn't that fun? I thoroughly enjoyed myself with this card! I just stamped it in some waterproof black ink and had a ball loosely watercoloring all around the design.

I added some speckles of watercolor and a few bright sequins to finish it up!

  1. Whoa Nelly! This is an amazing post, Kay! So much to see! You have created four spectacular cards! Each one has its own beauty and style. I adore you color and design choices on each. The softness of the first one drew me in. So delicate and pretty. The tulips are simply lovely. I hear you on them getting buried. Happens here, too. That next card is gorgeous, Ms. Water Color Queen! Wow! and that last one also makes me smile. So much to love all wrapped up in this post. You say there is more? I am not sure how you can top yourself time after time, but I have a feeling you will. Hugs!! :)
