There are still lots of challenges and fun things going on for the Anniversary celebration so hop on over to Nichole's blog to get all of the details!

Today we are showcasing the brand new 2016 Anniversary Stamp set! Oh my!  This set is amazing!

What did I tell you? See what I mean! It was love at first sight for me! These gorgeous brush stroke flowers with the multi stamped layers are just breathtaking! And the sentiments are so fun and versatile! I just love how the "g" is split so you can stamp the different sentiments in there. So ingenious!

I watercolored a messy background for my flowers with Peerless watercolors. It looks like it took a long time, but seriously, I just took a paint brush and swooshed it across my paper a few times with a couple of different colors. That was all there was too it. Then I stamped those gorgeous flowers, cut them out with the dies and mounted them with foam tape.

STAMPS: Painted Petals
DIES: Painted Petals
INK: Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Spring Moss, True Black
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White
OTHER: Watercolor paper, Peerless watercolors

***

For this one, I just blended a bit of Aqua Mist ink onto some Stamper's Select white card stock then mixed a little bit with water and flicked that around with my paint brush. Then I stamped again the beautiful flowers and leaves and adhered them with foam tape.

The leaves on this one were stamped with the MISIT in a combination of Spring Moss and New Leaf green inks. I stamped the fun sentiment in New Leaf and added a few sequins to finish it up!

STAMPS: Painted Petals
DIES: Painted Petals
INK: Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, New Leaf, Spring Moss, True Black
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White

  23. Your first card is definitely a Kay Miller card with its bold, bright flowers. Your brush swiping background looks awesome and adds to the pop of the flowers. Do you adhere your watercolored piece to a card base? I'm guessing you don't use watercolor paper for your card base…well, maybe you do. : ) Both cards are very striking ~ love your techniques, Kay!
