Holiday Pin-Ups Kit + Petite Places: Holiday Lane

Hello, and welcome to the first Papertrey Ink group post! I can't believe I just typed that! I'm so excited! The new products are so amazing, and I am still just thrilled beyond thrilled to be able to work with these beautiful things! My first projects are featuring another adorable  Make it Market Mini kit by Betsy Veldman, called Holiday Pin Ups. This kit is perfect for creating some cute packaging for small Christmas gifts and treats! Papertrey Ink is also releasing a brand new color, Vintage Jadeite, and two new patterned paper packs, Vintage Jadeite + White Basics and Pure Poppy + White Basics.

The bags are included in the kit, so dressing them up with the fun little elements is a snap! The kit also comes with preprinted papers as well as stamps, so you can just cut the designs out if you need something for a super quick gift! I cut out the pieces to cover the clothes pins from the paper pack then glued them onto the clothes pins. I cut three of the Matstack 5 die from the new Pure Poppy and Vintage Jadeite Paper Collections. I folded these over the tops of the bags, glued the snowflake from the Fancy Flakes Die Collection to the front, added the little tags from the preprinted paper pack, then just snapped  the clothes pin on top to hold it all together!

The bags are filled with Christmas candies that I'm planning on passing out to the kids at Thanksgiving!

My next project is using the absolutely adorable Petite Places: Holiday Lane stamp set and dies by Betsy. Oh, I can't tell you how fun this set is! I love detail work and I had so much fun cutting out all of the little pieces, and building my little winter gingerbread house scene! My mind is screaming with ways to use all of the fun things in this set! Ornaments are definitely on my to do list!

I am not generally a glittery embossing kind of girl, but when it comes to Christmas, well you just have to have some sparkle right? So for this sweet little house, I stamped the roof with VersaMark ink and embossed it with Bridal Tinsel embossing powder. It creates a sparkly, but still clear texture. I stamped the trees with New Leaf and Simply Chartreuse inks, then stamped over them with VersaMark ink, and embossed them with the same embossing powder. For the snowy hill in front, I used the Scene It Mountain View Die, and just cut the big trees off. For the background, I  cut out a circle from a piece of scrap card stock, and blended some Spring Rain ink onto my card stock. Everything was adhered with foam tape, except for the trees in the very back. I glued them down flat. The sentiment was stamped in True Black ink, and it's from the Cup Of Cheer stamp set.

That's it for me today! All of these wonderful new products will be available for sale at  Papertrey Ink  on October 15th, at 10:00 EST!
