Hello Friends! I am so excited to be guesting at Virginia's View Challenge for the August Challenge! I was thrilled and honored when Virginia invited me. Her challenge is one I have joined in on many times, and she always has such fun and inspiring ideas! This month is no exception! The theme for August is embellishments! And you know how we all love those! :)
Here is the card I did for the challenge.
I cut the Scalloped Rectangle out of Kraft card stock using a the Blueprints 1 from MFT. The stitched rectangle is from Lawn Fawn and the Thanks sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The layered flower is a cut file from Miss Kate's Cutables that I cut out with my Silhouette Cameo using different card stocks and scrap pieces of patterned paper. I wrapped some baker's twine around the white stitched rectangle before mounting it with foam tape to the kraft piece and adding the flower and die cut sentiment.
I used lots of layering and foam tape putting my little bouquet of flowers together, but it was worth the work. I just love how it turned out with all the dimension! I added Doodlebug Sprinkles to the centers of the flowers and the little enamel dots around the edges of the kraft frame are from Stampin' Up!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Check out the challenge at Virginia's View and play along by adding some fun embellishments to your project! You have the whole month of August to play!
