MFT September Release Countdown Day 1

Hello again!

I am back for the last day of the My Favorite Things Release Countdown! It has flown by and there are only mere hours until all of the fabulous new stamps and dies will be available!

Be sure to check out the My Favorite Things Blog to see a full reveal of today's products, and to see what all the other fabulous design team members have done! All of the new products will be available tomorrow, September 1st, at 10:00pm EST!

So today I am featuring an adorable new stamp set and dies called London Mouse, along with the New York City Skyline Die-namics. It's all about the big cities this month!

For this card, I used Tim Holtz watercolor paper. I usually use Master's Touch from Hobby Lobby, because the texture is so fine and nice, but it is not quite as thick and sturdy as the Ranger, so I used the Ranger, because I was going to be die cutting everything. I watercolored a light wash of blue for the sky, then some grey below for the street with Peerless watercolors. I then stamped all the cute stamps with Black Licorice hybrid ink and watercolored them with my Zig Clean Color brushes. I stamped the Sentiment Labels with Steel Grey dye ink and mounted them with foam tape.

I just love little city scenes!! So fun!

My next card using the fabulous New York City Skyline die!

I watercolored the background with Peerless watercolors and flicked it with water to get the lighter splotches. I let that dry and adhered it to my card base with foam tape. I cut the New York City Skyline out with Smooth white card stock and adhered it with foam tape as well. I cut a strip of black striped paper from the Dots & Stripes Neutral paper pack and glued that down along the bottom. I cut some stars from the Star Strip Die-namics out of the same piece that I had watercolored for the background, and glued those above the stripes. The sentiment is white embossed on Black Licorice card stock and cut out with a banner die.

I added a few 4mm clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins!

Make sure you hop on over to the  My Favorite Things Blog to see a full reveal of today's products, and to see what all the other fabulous design team members have done! And don't forget, tomorrow, September 1st, at 10:00pm EST all the new products will be in the MFT Online store! Can't wait!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)
