MFT Sketch Challenge #229

Hello Friends!
Today I am playing along with the Sketch challenge at the My Favorite Things Challenge blog!

Here  is the sketch for this week:

This card is a little different from what I've been doing, but it was so much fun and I love the way it turned out! I haven't followed a sketch in a long time and forgot how much fun they were. I also have fallen in love with the grey card stocks from MFT! They are fabulous! I especially love Grout Grey. It's my new fave :)

Here's what I did with the sketch!

I used Grout Gray for the background and Steel Blue for the stitched strip and flourishes. The striped line down the side is stamped from the LJD Textile Backgrounds stamp set and stamped in Black Licorice dye ink. I cut the white doilies out from the Mini Delicate Doilies die-namics, and the grey flourish is the Simple Leaf Flourish Die-namics. The pink flowers are die cut using Fresh Cut Flowers Die-namics from Ripe Raspberry card stock, and the centers are from Spring Garden Die-namics using Grout Gray and white card stocks  The doilies and flowers are mounted with foam tape for some dimension. The sentiment is stamped with Black Licorice dye ink from the Fall Foliage stamp set. I added a few clear sequins to finish it off!

Check out the MFT Challenge blog to play along with this challenge for a chance to win a gift voucher for $20 to the MFT Boutique!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)
