My Favorite Things Color Challenge #20

Hello Friends!

First off I want to thank you all so much for all the sweet, wonderful, and supportive comments you left for me on yesterday's blog post and on Facebook. I appreciate them sooooo very much! :)

Now I want to share a card I did for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge. Purple is my favorite color, so I had to join in on this one :)

I used the Quilt Square Cover Up die for this card. I love the look of quilts especially paper quilts on cards! I first cut the die out of smooth white card stock and took all of the pieces out. I next stamped a piece of Wild Wisteria card stock with the Garden Flourish Background stamp. I stamped a piece of Lavender Fields with the same background. I stamped a piece  of Daffodil with the Fine Check Background. I stamped them all with the same color ink as the paper.

I next cut them all out with the Quilt Square die. I added adhesive to a 4x4 piece of white card stock and glued down the empty white Quilt Square outline. I then took the pieces of colored and stamped card stock and added them into the white background. When that was all finished, I adhered this panel to the top part of an A2 top folded card base with foam tape. Next I cut the left over piece of Wild Wisteria out with the Horizontal Stitched Strips and added it at the bottom of the card with foam tape. I cut out a white banner and stamped the sentiment. Added it with foam tape and added the flower with foam tape as well.

Check out what the fabulous challenge team has created over at the MFT challenge blog and play along! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)

  14. Beautiful card Kay. Anyone who quilts would have a "field day" playing with various designer papers. Congrats on being on the design team.

  15. Your paper quilt is a lovely translation of 'real' quilts: beautiful colours and patterns, paired with a most eye-catching layout! Your card truly evokes feelings of being cozy, comforting and inviting, just as a quilt should be! Love this immensely!
