Hello my friends!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful week!
Just a little reminder that there is still time to play along with the challenge at Festive Friday!
Here is the inspiration photo for this time. Very interesting photo! I have loved seeing all the different ways that people are interpreting this.
Now this is NOT a "Kay" card. There is no pink, no flowers, no cute little people or animals, no bright colors.... it's just not me. BUT, I do like it! I don't know how it came about, it's so different from my usual style and I wasn't striving for that. It just happened :)
First I stamped the white panel with the black stripes, then added the sentiment. I created cut files with my Silhouette Cameo for the snowflakes, cut them all out, then stamped them. I added foam tape and mounted them randomly. Then I added a few little rhinestones for some Christmas bling!

While it may not be your usual style, Kay, I humbly submit that it IS a Kay card because it looks amazing and every card you create pretty much looks amazing! :) I am intrigued by your saying that you created cut files for the snowflakes in your Silhouette and stamped them. Would love to know how you did that. I can guess what you might have done, but would love to know for sure. The snowflake stamps you have are beautiful. I really, really like this card! Excellent work! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteJeanne - here is YouTube video I used to learn the cutting of my rubber stamped images: (the authors name is CleverSomeday and the YouTube video is called: Tracing and Cutting Stamped Images with Silhouette Studio. Good luck.
DeleteThis is beautiful and I agree with Jeanne. I can still see your style in the card with the white space.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely holiday card! Even with the neutral colors, I can definitely still see your style and influence behind the card! :)
ReplyDeletewaow very smart card!
ReplyDeleteIHmmm... see this as very much a *Kay* card: beautiful die cuts, gorgeous colours, artistic arrangement, with the net result of visual harmony, elegance and class, evoking feelings of awe and joy experienced by all who see it. A "you" card in every way...and it's fabulous!! So there *grin*!
