Sunny Studio: Slimline Pennants

Hi there! I am up on the Sunny Studio blog today sharing a card I made with the fun new Slimline Pennants dies. I had to use the Captivating Camellias stamp set and Captivating Camellias dies along with them because they just stamp up so pretty! Plus I wanted to try some different color combinations! So fun!

So for my card, I blended some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink onto white card stock and cut that out with the middle size pennant die. I then used the same die and cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock. I used two of the additional dies in the set to cut the scalloped edge and stitching. I layered this beneath the piece that I had ink blended.

I stamped the flowers using four shades of ink from Pinkfresh: Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Berrylicious and Candy Apple. The leaves were stamped with Fresh Pear and Olive from Pinkfresh and Artichoke from Lawn Fawn. These were all cut out with the coordinating dies and added to the card with foam tape. The sentiment is from the new Inside Greetings Sympathy stamp set and I stamped it below the flowers with black ink. I also added a few small white pearls along the scallops at the bottom and a few around the flowers as well.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Oh my, this is so very pretty, Kay! I love the color combination! It's so pretty. I'm going to have to look into some new ink colors because there is no way I could achieve that look with the colors I own. I like the slim line design with the fancy border at the bottom, too. Wonderful card! Happy weekend, my friend! Hugs!
