Pinkfresh Studio: Modern Layered Florals

Hello there! I have a couple of cards up on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today and I wanted to share them here on my blog as well.

Recently I have fallen in love with the color gray, and I just love it paired up with red and black. I think the monotone look of the gray with just a pop of color from the red looks so pretty! Today I'm using the beautiful Modern Layered Floral stamp set and Modern Layered Floral die along with some Essentials dies.

For this card, I used the Diagonal Stripes with Window die and cut it out of white cardstock. I layered this over some light gray cardstock. I stamped the floral bouquet from the Modern Layered Floral stamp set in Rocky Slope, Misty Coast, Passion Fruit and Coral Reef dye inks

I cut the floral bouquet out with the Modern Layered Florals die, and layered it onto the card with foam tape. The sentiment is also included in the Modern Layered Floral stamp set. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder onto black cardstock and added it to the card with foam tape.

My next card is a square 4.24x4.24 size card. I love making this size and it still fits nicely inside of your A2 size envelopes. For this card, I used the Diagonal Stitched Squares dies and cut a diamond out of the center of the largest die. I added this to my square card base with foam tape. The floral bouquet was stamped exactly like the one above using the same inks. I stamped them both at the same time :) I added foam tape to the back of it and tucked it inside the frame I created.

The sentiment is also included in the Modern Layered Floral stamp set and was heat embossed with white embossing powder, cut out and added with foam tape.

I hope you have enjoyed my cards today!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Kay :)

  4. Oh my goodness, Kay! These cards are gorgeous! I love how the soft gray and white allow the beautiful colors in your flowers to pop! It can be tricky (at least in my experience) to find the right shade of gray and you've nailed it with your choice. It's so clean and pretty. The ink colors you chose are also just wonderful. The sentiments are so encouraging, too. I adore both cards! Wow! Thanks so much for sharing! :) Hugs!
