Pinkfresh Studio: Friends in Bright Colors
Hi there! I have a couple of cards up on the Pinkfresh blog today using some of the brand new products and I wanted to share them here as well. I was so excited to use these new dies! They are so much fun! Who can resist rainbows and flowers? I am using the new Ornate Floral die and the Colorblock Rainbow die along with the Phrase Builder: Hello die set. I picked some warm tropical colors for these because I am feeling the sunshine!
For my first card here, I cut the Ornate Floral die out of heavy white cardstock. I punched out all of the pieces and then I glued it down to my white A2 size top folded card base. I then used the die to cut out all of the different pieces in the colors shown. Piece by piece I used liquid glue and inserted all of the different colors back into the white cut out piece on the card. A labor of love for sure, but it looks so amazing! And it really didn't take all that long.
I cut the word friend out with the Phrase Builder: Hello dies, adhered the top piece to a white background and then added this to my card front with foam tape. The sentiment below is from the Modern Layered Florals stamp set, and it was heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Now isn't this rainbow fun! You can do it in traditional rainbow colors or opt for something different like I did with the tropical colors in my first card. I basically created it just like the first card. I cut the Colorblock Rainbow die out of heavy white cardstock, glued this down to my white card base, then glued all the different colors into the spaces. Now I did cut out a rainbow of each color, so if you are wanting to mass produce a card like this, you will have enough pieces to make several cards at once!
The word friend was die cut using the Phrase Builder: Hello dies and added to the card with foam tape. Again, the sentiment is from the Modern Layered Florals stamp set, and it was heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I hope you have enjoyed my cards today!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
