Pinkfresh Studio: Folk Mandala

Hi there! I'm super excited to be sharing a couple of cards on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today and thought I'd share them here on my blog as well. These cards feature the beautiful Folk Mandala stamp set and Folk Mandala dies. I am a huge fan of mandalas or anything that has radial symmetry, so when I saw this stamp set it was love at first sight! I couldn't wait to play with it!

For my first card, I stamped the mandala with Copic friendly black ink and colored it in with Copic markers. I stamped the birds separately and colored them as well. I cut the mandala and the birds out with the Folk Mandala dies and added the birds with foam tape.

I added the finished mandala to an A2 size white card base with foam tape, then stamped the sentiment below. The "you" was stamped with Rocky Slope Dye ink and the rest was stamped with black ink.

For my second card, I stamped the mandala and the birds with black ink  all on one layer and cut the whole mandala out with the Folk Mandala Dies.

I used a soft gray cardstock for my background and layered the largest of the Ornate Banner dies over top of that. I stamped the sentiment in Rocky Slope Dye ink and black ink along the bottom, then adhered the mandala on top with foam tape.
I love how different the two cards came out using the Folk Mandala Stamp set and Folk Mandala Dies. I love the pop of color on the first one, and also think the monotone black and white one is quite striking!  I hope you have enjoyed my cards today!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Kay :)
