Hello friends! I'm excited to be joining Spellbinders today to showcase some of their new fabulous die designs! If you are following the hop you should have arrived here from the fabulous Debby Hughes!
The cards I have made here were created with the new Folk Art Collection by Lene Lok.
My first card uses the Floral Mandala Die. I cut this out of Bristol Board card stock, then used Distress inks and a make up wedge to add the colors. I then spritzed it with water and added some splatters of the same colors. I cut another one out of plain white card stock and layered them together before adhering to my card base, to create some dimension.
I stamped the sentiments from Altenew on black card stock with Versa Mark ink, and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I then adhered them on top of the Floral Mandala with foam tape.
For my second card, I used the Nordic Blooms Dies. I blended Distress inks onto some Bristol Board card stock in different colors, spritzed with water and sprinkled with some of the same diluted inks. I let this dry good, then cut the flowers and leaves out. For the background I blended green Distress ink along the bottom for the grass and some blue along the top for the sky.
I adhered the flowers to my card with foam tape. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things and was heat embossed with white embossing powder and adhered with foam tape.
You can find the whole Folk Art Collection by Lene Lok HERE!

ReplyDeleteBoth are bold and beautiful! I was intrigued by the first die when I first saw it in the collection. It's one of those that you want to cut about 100 of them and then just think of every way you know to add color! It is such a beautiful design that everything else can stay simple. Wouldn't it be beautiful on black...or navy...or deep teal...or metallic...See what I mean??? Thank you so much.
