Hi all!
I am excited to be joining The Ton for their 3rd Anniversary Release Blog hop! They are having a mini blog hop each day until January 26 to showcase the amazing new products this month!
The Ton has 23 new stamps for their Third Anniversary Release which includes up to two free gifts with purchase (Daisy Duet and Peony Notes Bundle A+B+C). For more information on The Ton’s incentive gifts, head over to The Ton’s blog HERE. All new release products are available now!
I am happy to be starting it off sharing a couple of cards I made with the Painted Peonies stamp set and Riotous Wildflowers.
This card I stamped with the Painted Peonies stamp set. It is a three step stamping process which creates these gorgeous peonies! I used two shades of pink and then red for my darkest. I stamped the leaves around in grays, and then went around the whole group with a grayish purple Copic marker.
After I was done with all of the coloring, I speckled the card with some of the same color inks that I used for stamping. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in gray ink, and mounted my panel onto a top folded A2 size card base.
***
This card was created with a beautiful background stamp called Riotous Wildflowers. I stamped it onto white card stock and colored the flowers with Copic markers. I did a pretty quick coloring here, sketch shading with only two colors for the flowers and leaves.
The products I have used for my two cards are linked below:

Beautiful cards, Kay! The colors are wonderful and bring out the beauty of the flowers. That first set looks great because you can layer the stamps to bring out that beauty and then your shadowing looks wonderful. The wildflowers are lovely with the little pop of yellow. Congrats on the guest spot! :) Hugs! Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteWOW! This is the first time I see this company!! TFS!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Kay! Your pretty peonies, in particular, remind me of those my grandmother used to grow in her flower garden. They were huge and incredibly stunning, nurtured by the love and attention she gave them. Thank you for showcasing a set that is timeless, versatile and, in my case, a recollection of wonderful memories….

Beautiful designs.
ReplyDeleteYou make me believe that I could actually do some
ReplyDeletecoloring with these sets (I akin my coloring to a
kindergartener! lol). Your cards are lovely. I like
how you used a purplish Copic to color around the
peonies on the first card. And I think I will use your
2nd card as a teaching step for me with a few Copics
I just recently bought. Thank you!!
