Papertrey Ink Release In Review

Hello and welcome to the Release in Review post for the October  Papertrey Ink  Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on October 15th at 10:00 EST!

I have a card to share with you today created with the beautiful Botanical Blocks IV stamp set by Nichole. It's such a pretty set! With the previous Botanical Blocks stamps, I have used watercolors, so I decided to do something a little different with this one, and go with my Copic markers.

I stamped the image with black ink and colored it with Copic markers. I then took a 5.5 x 4.24 piece of New Leaf card stock and stamped the pine from Holiday Greens Borders on it using New Leaf ink. I then splattered that with white acrylic paint. After this was dry, I cut the rectangle piece out using the Botanical Blocks die. I added foam tape to the back side of this piece and mounted it over the colored image. This was all adhered to a top folded A2 card base.

I stamped the sentiment in True Black ink and cut it out with the banner die from Tag Sale #10, and added that to the bottom with some foam tape.

STAMPS: Botanical Blocks IV, Holiday Greens Borders
DIES: Botanical Blocks, Tag Sale #10
INK: True Black, New Leaf
PAPER: Stampers Select White, New Leaf

OTHER: White Acrylic paint, Copic Markers

  2. Such a pretty and festive card, Kay. I really, really like that background stamping. It looks fantastic. You are so brave to flick your cards with paint! It always looks fabulous. Your holly leaves and berries looks great colored with your Copics, too. I like how you cut the rectangle out and have the image underneath. That looks way cool. If you can't tell, I really like this card. :) Hugs! Happy Weekend to you!

  12. I like your use of the Botanical Blocks Die. I didn't want it just to cut out the the floral blocks. But rectangular squares in cards, specific to them...now I want it! Thx for a beautiful card!
