Hello and welcome to the first group post for the May Papertrey Ink Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on May 15th at 10:00 EST.
Today we are introducing a gorgeous new set called Floral Sketches by Dawn McVey and a beautiful set of sentiments from Nichole Heady called Classic Calligraphy.
I added a few tiny white dots with acrylic paint and a few sequins to finish it up!
STAMPS: Floral Sketches
INK: Hibiscus Burst, Razzberry Fizz, Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Amethyst Allure, Royal Velvet, Soft Stone, Stormy Sea
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White

My next card was kind of an experiment. I was thinking the whole time if it didn't turn out, well I would just toss it and start over, but I really liked the way it turned out!
I used watercolor paper and I stamped the sentiment first. I then stamped the solid shapes of the flowers around the sentiment. Next I took a wet paintbrush and loosely blended the stamped flowers around to give a watercolor look. After this was dry, I stamped the outlines of the flowers with black ink.
I splattered some of the same colors I used for the flowers around with a paintbrush, and then added some white dots and sequins to finish it up.
STAMPS: Floral Sketches, Classic Calligraphy
INK: Blueberry Sky, Amethyst Allure, Hibiscus Burst, Spring Rain
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Watercolor paper

I really loved how that last card turned out, so I had to do one more with that technique, but using the same color scheme that I used on my first card. I did not use any watercolor paint on these cards. I only used Papertrey inks on them, and the colors I used are listed below the cards in the supply list. The PTI inks watercolor wonderfully!
I really love Soft Stone for a leaf color! I don't think green would have looked quite as nice on these cards. Again to finish up this card, I added some white dots and a few sequins.
