MFT March Release Countdown Day 1







I am back for the last day of the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown! It has flown by and there are only mere hours until all of the fabulous new stamps and dies will be available!

For my card today I am using an adorable new set called Tweet Friends, and some cute new dies called Cheerful Cages.  The cage die comes in two pieces, so I shaded the background piece with some Summer Splash dye ink before layering the top cage part over it. I colored the birds, flowers, and leaves with Copic markers, then added the birds and flowers with some foam tape, and tucked the leaves in with glue dots.


I added a few little white dots with my gel pen and some PPP sequins to finish it up. The little hanger at the top of the cage was made from the balloon string in Birthday Balloons Die-namics.

    Oh my goodness what a sweet card this is!! Those birds and their cages are very tempting, I really don't own anything like this :)

    Such a 'tweet' card, Kay! Beautiful Copic coloring, and your details make this card so special! I love the stitched/scalloped border, too...Gorgeous card! There goes my budget :)

    What beautiful birds! I adore your coloring and shading on them. And then the detail with the white pen just makes the one pop. Fabulous. I think the inking on the background is a wonderful touch as well. Your flowers are always amazing. You add such great detail that is deceptively simple. Simple to create, but the details add that little somethin' somethin' that makes your cards stand out. Fantastic! Hugs!! :)

    Oh my gosh this is cute and beautiful! The layered birdchage is amazing,not sure how you can come up with so many cards each time ,I love this with the flowers tucked behind.... Hope your having a good week .
