Introducing What The Doodle, Keep It Simple & Frames

Hello and welcome back to day four of the Papertrey Ink 2016 Anniversary Festivities! There are lots of fun challenges and huge giveaways going on so be sure to stop by Nichole's blog to participate!

All of the new products you are seeing shown will be available for sale at Papertrey Ink on February 15th at 10:00 EST.

We have a plethora of fun and beautiful things to share with you today! Plethora, I like that word. That's one of those fun words, you look for opportunities to use.  So glad I got that chance today! :)

First up is a card I created with a fun new stamp set called What The Doodle: Butterfly, which is the first in a new series by Betsy Veldman! This set is so much fun to color! It's much like the adult coloring books which are so popular now. I sponged some Hawaiian Shores ink onto the white card base for a subtle background, then  I stamped and cut the swirl out with the  Fancy Flourish stamp set and dies and glued that down flat to the card. I colored everything with Copic markers, cut them out with the matching dies and adhered them with foam tape.

The sentiment is included in this set. I stamped it with black ink and embossed the "This Special Day" with white embossing powder.

STAMPS: What The Doodle: Butterfly, Fancy Flourishes
DIES: What The Doodle: Butterfly, Fancy Flourishes
INK: Hawaiian Shores, True Black
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Smokey Shadow

My next card features a new stamp set by Heather Nichols called Be, which is full of fun flowers and so many wonderful sentiments! I watercolored my background with Peerless watercolors. The flowers are all stamped, cut out with the matching dies and adhered with foam tape.

I layered the Be die cut three times for dimension and embossed the "yourself" with white embossing powder.

STAMPS: Be
DIES: Be
INK: Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, Limeade Ice, Tropical Teal, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Smokey Shadow

This card features one of the two new frames Cover Plate: Scrolled Frame Die, along with a peek of Inspired: Savior stamps and dies, and Bunny Basket. The sentiment was sponged with Hawaiian Shores ink and cut out and layered three times. The white scroll part of the frame was adhered with foam tape.

I added the Easter eggs from Bunny Basket and the greenery is from Embellished Elegance. One of the things I so love about this frame is that it is built of several pieces that you can take apart and cut out in different colors. Makes them really versatile!

And on the inside I stamped one of the sentiments from Keep It Simple: Easter and added another egg and a flower and greenery from Embellished Elegance.

STAMPS: Inspired: Savior, Bunny Basket, Embellished Ellegance, Keep It Simple: Easter
DIES: Inspired: Savior, Bunny Basket, Embellished Ellegance, Cover Plate: Scroll Frame
INK: Aqua Mist, Spring Moss, Hibiscus Burst, Bright Buttercup
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Aqua Mist

That is all from me today! I'll be back tomorrow as we continue to showcase the amazing new products for the Anniversary Release!

  1. Oh goodness, not one, not two, but three gorgeous cards?! How lucky are we?! By far and away though, that first card absolutely stole my heart. What an absolute beautiful butterfly! You colored that image in wonderfully. I adore every single detail on this card. Wow. Your second card is so pretty. I really like the bright background for those pretty flowers and the sentiment is great. Your third card is a bit more understated, but just as lovely as the first two. You knocked it out of the park here, my friend! Hugs!!
