Introducing Dress Up Dolls

Hello and welcome back to day two of the Papertrey Ink 2016 Anniversary Festivities! There is a super  fun challenge and huge giveaways going on so be sure to stop by Nichole's blog to participate!

All of the new products you are seeing shown will be available for sale at Papertrey Ink on February 15th at 10:00 EST.

Do you love paper dolls? Oh I sure did when I was young! I remember many a summer afternoon sitting outside in the yard cutting out the clothes for my paper dolls. When I was a kid  you could get a book of paper dolls at almost any grocery store. My mom would always pick me one up while we were grocery shopping, and I could not wait to get home and start cutting out all of their clothes! Then I would play with them for hours changing their outfits for every occasion I could think up :)

So today we have paper dolls! Betsy has designed the most adorable set of paper dolls with cute little clothes and accessories. But guess what? You don't have to sit outside and cut the clothes out, because we have dies now! haha! And  with her first set there is also a coordinating Easter set!

So for my first project with these adorable little people, I created two Easter cards, one for a girl and one for a boy.

I colored and cut out  the basic doll, then  colored and cut out one of the cute little Easter outfits from the coordinating Easter set. I then dressed them up and glued the Easter basket and pigtails to this little girl.

I added the little bunny and eggs to my scene from LIzzie's new Simply Spring Borders stamp set that's coming out too. The Happy Easter sentiment comes with the coordinating Easter paper dolls set.

And here is my little Easter boy! I used backgrounds from Betsy's Petite Places Background paper collection to create an outdoor springy looking scene and added a few sequins as well.

  19. Yes, I too have fond memories of paper dolls, that were sparked, recently by my niece, who had a set when I last visited. Such a coincidence that they're part of the PTI release! Yours here: adorable!
