Introducing Petite Places: Barnyard

Hello and welcome to the second group post for the December Papertrey Ink Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on December 15th at 10:00 EST.

I am so excited about my post today! Betsy has a new Petite Places set and it's SO cute! It's a barnyard, with a little barn, animals and even a tractor! Seriously adorable!

I was assigned to do a 3D project with this. I was very intimidated by the mere thought. I have seen what all the other designers have done as far as the 3D projects and they are absolutely amazing, but me, I'm a flat girl. I do cards with a little foam tape. That's as 3D as I get.... sooooo I gave it a shot ;) I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how cute it turned out!!

Not only did I love the way it turned out, it was easy!! I don't know why I was so worried! Everything went together perfectly and it was so fun! So you know what I want to do now? Get all of my Petite Places sets out and make 3D things!

For the base, I stamped the checked border with New Leaf onto Simply Chartreuse card stock. The trees are from the petite Places: A Walk in The Park.  The birthday tag on the front was stamped with the new Barnyard Sentiments onto a little tag from the Pin-Ups Holiday Dies. I tied that with the red and white twine and adhered it to the jar lid with a glue dot.

Domed Farm Scene Supplies:

STAMPS: Petite Places: Barnyard, Barnyard Sentiments, On the Farm, Petite Places:  Walk In The Park
DIES: Petite Places: Barnyard, Holiday Pin-Ups, Scenic Basic Backer Die,  Walk In The Park
INK: New Leaf, Pure Poppy, True Black, Dark Chocolate, Simply Chartreuse, Kraft, Smokey Shadow
PAPER: Stampers Select, Simply Chartreuse

I'll be back tomorrow with some more PTI fun! All of these wonderful new products will be available for sale at  Papertrey Ink  on December 15th, at 10:00 EST!

  1. Kay, this is just adorable! I'm with you on flat creations... I have a couple of petite places sets but have only used them for making cards. Maybe I'll get more daring with the new year. Your post has inspired me. ;0)
