Introducing Gem Inspirations

Hello and welcome to the first group post for the December Papertrey Ink Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on December 15th at 10:00 EST.

Today's projects are created with several new stamp sets and dies that are sure to make your cards and paper crafts shine and sparkle!

My first card uses the Charmed stamp set and dies by Erin Lincoln. I just love them! You can personalize all of your birthday cards with the matching birthstones! It's really a fun set! I chose May, the emerald, because it's my first born's birthday month :)

I did a kind of collage card using several different stamp sets and dies for this. This is one of my favorite kind of cards to make. The leaves I stamped using the MISTI to get the different color tones.

I used a lot of foam tape here layering all of the elements. The Vitality & Health phrase is heat embossed with white embossing powder, and I added a few sequins for a little more bling.

Emerald Charmed Card Supplies:

STAMPS: Charmed, Boutique Borders: Love, Snowflake Flurries, Turning A New Leaf, Twig Wreath
DIES: Charmed, Boutique Borders, Snowflake Flurries, Turning A New Leaf, Twig Wreath
INK: New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Pinefeather, Hawaiian Shores, True Black
PAPER: Stampers Select

My next card features the new You're a Gem stamp set by Betsy Veldman, along with the Cover Plate: Gemstones dies.  I watercolored the background with some Pinefeather, New Leaf, and Simply Chartreuse dye inks. I speckled it with water then let it dry well. For the diamonds, I cut out the white overlays from the Gem Stone dies then I cut the backing out of some paper that I had watercolored. I glued the overlays down and adhered these with foam tape. The sentiment is stamped in Pinefeather and New Leaf inks.

I added a few sequins when I was finished.

You Are Priceless Card Supplies:

STAMPS: You're A Gem
DIES: Cover Plate: Gem Stone Dies
INK: Pinefeather, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Hawaiian, Shores
PAPER: Stampers Select
OTHER: Watercolor paper, sequins

That's it for me today! All of these wonderful new products will be available for sale at  Papertrey Ink  on December 15th, at 10:00 EST!

  3. Just amazing! The number of elements from different sets used on your first card, just blow me away, and what a fabulous composition. I would love to see a tutorial (MIM perhaps) of what your process entails. You and Betsy have this rare gift in common, and it's one of the reasons you are two of my favorite designers. Thank you for joining the Papertrey design team.

If I don't have time to leave a comment again soon, happy holidays. May they be as full of color and charm as your creations.
