Hello and welcome back to the third group post for the November Papertrey Ink Release! Can you believe how fast time flies! The new products will be available on November 15th in the Papertrey Ink store at 10:00 PM EST.
Today the team is showing off several fun products that will get you in the birthday celebration mood! We have Confetti Toss stamps & Dies and a paper pack from Lizzie, Keep it Simple Birthday II stamps and Birthday Cheer stamps and die from Nichole, and Scene it: Celebration Stamps and dies from Betsy!
My first card uses the new Birthday Cheer dies from Nichole along with the Scene It: Celebration stamps and dies from Betsy. I first created a background with some Worn Lipstick distress ink blended onto some watercolor paper. I speckled it with water and more of the same ink. I cut three of the Celebration die and glued those together for dimension before glueing down to my panel. The balloons I stamped in Melon Berry, Raspberry Fizz, and Orange zest and cut out with the matching die. I filled in the cut out spaces with some paper I had lightly watercolored with pink. I cut the stars out of white card stock and layered three of those over the balloons, and adhered this to my panel with foam tape. I added a few PPP sequins to finish it off!
Celebrate Card
STAMPS: Scene It: Celebration, Confetti Toss ( inside card)
DIES: Scene It: Celebration, Birthday Cheer
PAPER: Stampers Select
INK: Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Berry Sorbet
OTHER: Watercolor paper, Worn Lipstick Distress Ink
If you look closely at this card, you will see that the balloons are cut from the same piece of pink watercolored paper that I used on the first card. I just loved those balloons so much I had to incorporate them into another card! I used some of the Confetti Toss patterned paper collection for my background and adhered the stacked circle element with foam tape. How about that banner! I just love that!! The ombre effect is so fun!
Happy Birthday Card
STAMPS: Scene It: Celebration
DIES: Scene It: Celebration
PAPER: Stampers Select, Confetti Toss patterned paper pack
INK: Raspberry Fizz, True Black

For my last project, I created a fun birthday tag with the Tag Sale: Quilted die, because seriously, I can't get enough of that thing! I want to use it for everything! I cut the tag out of Stampers Select card stock and added a piece of paper from the Confetti Toss patterned paper pack. The balloons are stamped with Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy, and Melon Berry. I filled in the background space with some Lemon Tart card stock, and adhered this to the tag with foam tape. I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from the Keep It Simple: Birthday II stamp set onto the Quilted tag banner and adhered it across the balloons with foam tape. I added some pretty pink ribbon tied with a little silver bow to the top.
So I definitely had girls in mind when I created all of my pink themed birthday projects, but these could easily be adapted for the boys just using different colors. They would be so fun in blues and greens!

These are three fantastic birthday cards. I can just see how much fun you had creating these. Your watercoloring shines and I really like the dots in the background. I also like the inlaid die cut technique. That banner that looked ombre is amazing. I can't pick one that I like more than the others. All I can say really is awesome work, Kay! Hugs!
