Merry & Bright


Hello! I have another cute elf card to share with you today from the October My Favorite Things release. This might be my favorite of all the elfy things I made :)
On this card, I used not only the adorable Santa's Elves stamp set, but the new Stitched Arched STAX. I love them! They are so neat! I am always wanting to do a partial die cut to get this shape with a circle die, and now I don't have to mess with that! I can just grab these! Loving it! So first I glued down the grey striped paper and the red striped paper from the Calm & Cozy Chevron and the Fresh Squeezed Chevron Paper packs. I then cut the Stitched Arched die out of the center of a piece of smooth white card stock, cut a smidge off the sides, so the red paper would show, and adhered this down to my card with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped with Black licorice ink before I adhered the panel down.

  


The little elf, presents, and holly were colored with Copic markers, cut out with the matching Die-namics and adhered with foam tape. I added a few clear 4mm Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

    Oh golly, Kay! This is absolutely adorable! Those elves are so dang cute and I can just imagine him squealing in delight as he peeks into the stocking. I really like that flat bottomed circle die, too. The use of the chevron paper is terrific. Your coloring is awesome! Really bright and festive. That little sprig of holly near the sentiment is a great detail . Happy, happy card! :) Hugs!
