Ho Ho Ho with Create A Smile Stamps and a Catastrophe Happened Last Night

Hello! Something funny happened last night. I accidentally deleted my whole Photobucket account. Do you know what this means? It means that every single photo on my blog disappeared never to be seen again. It was irreversible. I Googled it, I searched the site, and everything I found said you cannot get back files deleted from your Photobucket account. I won't go into detail about how I managed to do this, but never ever click "select all" and then "delete", even if you think you are only deleting the six photos on the page. :) I was sick, but only for a little while. I soon accepted what I had done, and  the fact that I would have to slowly upload all of my pictures back onto Photobucket  one by one, and add them back to my blog post. Soooooo, I started last night and got my header added, my design team logos, social media icons, my last blog post, and this one. I will slowly be adding all of my photos back, but it's going to take some time. And people, do you know what? I was caught up! I was finally caught up on my design team work and my guest spots for the next month. I amazingly had some free time, time to piddle for a minute. I was going to make a shaker card, clean out some closets, make an ornament.... but life had other plans for me! haha! Isn't it funny that way.

So on a happier note, I have another Christmas card to share with you created with the fun new Snow Dance kit from Create A Smile stamps  I have had so much fun with this kit!

I had to use that adorable little Santa again! I colored him and his sled with Copic markers. The sled and the presents are actually separate stamps, but I wanted a sleigh full of presents, so I stamped the presents on top of the sleigh. I created a little backdrop for them using a  a stitched circle die sponged with a bit of blue dye ink. I then cut a snowy hill, and adhered Santa and the sleigh with foam tape.

I used some of the patterned paper that came in the kit for the background. I cut it out with a stitched rectangle die, then cut that in half and glued it down to my white card base. I added the stitched white border, stamped the Ho Ho Ho, and added some of the little acrylic stickers that came in the kit. I then added the circle scene with some foam tape, a snowflake cut from the snowflake die and a few of the clear sequins.

Here is a link to the Create A Smile Kits if you want to check out this adorable kit!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you all have a great week!

Hugs,

Kay :)

  4. Oh Kay! What a huge bummer and headache for you. I'm so sorry this happened. But your attitude about it is so positive. It's not something you can change, so being positive is much more bearable than being super grumpy about it. Thanks for being a good example on how to handle life's mishaps. Good luck with the re-uploading! Now as for today's card...adorable! I simply adore your scenes. They are so bright and cheery and this Santa scene absolutely delights and brings a smile to my face. Thank you! Big hugs to you!!

  12. NO! Tell me it isn't so! I remember how I felt when I found out google had deleted my You Tube channel...they had changed how they did things and months after deleting a gmail email address, they deleted my channel! I tried for days to get it back, going through their system but since I wasn't a paying You Tube customer, they just kept sending me on a run around. oh nightmare! SMH! SO SORRY! I know what you mean about time too! *sigh* sigh sigh sigh sigh!!! I can feel the panic you were feeling. It's numbing! With Wordpress there is a media file with all the photos. Do you have that with blogger? Darling card Kay! The little red man is so cute!
    :D

  20. I'm new to your blog but so sorry about your photos. I have a question. I went to the create a smile website and couldn't figure out how to order. Is kit in stock and how much is it in American money? Thanks for your help

  21. Oh NO, Kay, I am so sorry!!! Makes me feel a tinier bit better about my own current catastrophe, I sat down today to create with my brand new RC Jolly Holiday set, something I've so been looking forward to using, and the Santa stamp is nowhere to be found. I had taken him off the backer yesterday to see what he would look like on a card, and now he's gone. I completely pulled apart my whole craft area to search for him, twice! I could cry. But he is replaceable of course, it's just that I wanted to work with this set today :( Like you said, sometimes life has other plans for us, sigh...

  28. Oh the things we do to get out of cleaning a closet! Honestly, I'd be slitting some wrists and shredding things. But you handled it with calm and grace, and taught us all how to behave following catastrophe. Thank you. Btw, the card is adorable! Your soft blends and beautiful coloring always inspires! Bless you!

  29. Oh my word! I can't believe how calmly you sound! At least you still have the photos to upload, but man, all the work to get them back.

  33. Hi Kay, first off your card is super cute. I always love how you ink up your backgrounds!

I actually visited your blog last night and saw the photobucket message in place of the pictures. I went to your comments and saw other people had posted comments so I figured there was something wonky with my IPAD. So sorry this happened and your pictures have been deleted! Take your time getting them back, you have lots more creativity ahead of you so we will appreciate whatever you have to share!!

  34. Holy smokes I think I might have crawled in a hole and pulled the hole in after me LOL!! You've handled it well Kay. I tried to leave you a comment last night, but the photos weren't there. Thought it wagon my end LOL! Your card is adorable, love the red and soft aqua (my fave color combo) and that CUTE little Santa!

  35. Oh, I'm so sorry ... I mistakenly reformatted my external hard drive, with every single digital kit and tool I had created when I was designing. Poof - in seconds 3 years of work was gone. So you have my sympathies! Best of luck.

  36. No way!!! Oh my gosh, Kay, I feel so badly for you! Especially after getting caught up on so many things! I hope you will be able to restore everything manually, and that it will go quicly...no fun!!!

I really LOVE this charming card! Your details are always so perfect....fabulous striped papers, gorgeous background, charming scene, and I love how you placed the stickers like arrows leading to the sentiment! Sending HUGS your way!

  40. Yikes! I think the expression on your Santa's face likely mirrors the one you wore when you discovered the major tech glitch! Feeling for you..I can't handle when I lose a single document, let alone as much as you did. I'd be in a corner, weeping or, more than likely, cussing up a storm! Your card: simply fantastic! Every detail: love, love and love!

And I am so sorry to hear about what happened! There's nothing worse when you're the one responsible and you can't even blame someone/something else. Don't you just wish life had a CTRl + Z button for everything lol?!
